A strip club in TN is giving away Wal Mart gift cards to moms who lose SNAP benefits as long as they get up on stage and strip. I really want to know how "sex work is work" leftists will justify this, and continue to say sex work is like any other job, especially when the loss of SNAP benefits is going to disproportionately hurt disabled mothers, and mothers of color.

>disproportionately hurt disabled mothers, and mothers of color.
Mining disproportionally affects poor black and brown children in the third world. Doesn't mean it isn't work, retard.

>>2544673
Without mines you wouldn't have your smartphone. It's labor that produces value, and the solution is socialism. This is just letting guys get their dicks hard to desperate women.>>2544673

"sex work is work leftists" 🤝 maga

I will never understand “Marxists” who defend sex selling.

>>2544699
I wouldn’t defend it but every type of work is selling your body

>"sex work is work"

this is obviously work yes. it is also an obviously particularly degrading and misogynistic gig to be forced into.

the problem with the leftists youre describing isnt that they acknowledging that prostitution, stripping, camming etc is work, or that they think people employed in those industries should not be demeaned or dismissed on the basis of their work. the problems are:

these same 'leftists' somehow have and promote the idea that the fact that its work makes it perfectly acceptable, as if all wage-labor is qualitatively equivelant in any way other than the simple equivelance of all labor-power being exchangeable as a commodity on the market in the form of contracts for labor-time. they assume that it being work lends it some kind of legitimacy that cancels out any of the particularities of the social relationships involved in selling that labor. this is exactly what marx was critiquing, that no matter how much you dress it up as this straightforward contractual exchange between free persons in a rationalist void, it is always still a relationship between people in particular historical circumstances. theyre 100% right to acknowledge that sex work fits easily into this framework, but from there they get it exactly backwards, trying to deny the social particularities insisting that as "real work" it is simply an economic exchange and therefore basically rational and therefore dignified

There's already a thread for this

sex work is commodified rape

i tried to convince some of my colleagues about sex work is commodified rape and should be banned, and they talked about how some women actually like to work with it and how anti-prostitution laws are prohibitive that only benefits pimps…… academic marxists cannot escape post modern identitarianist rape apologia

>>2544671
>I really want to know how "sex work is work" leftists will justify this,
Why would that follow? If it was a totally non sexual game show like jeopardy this kind of gambling for basic resources would still be horribly exploitative. Introducing sex into the equation doesn't suddenly make it "work."

>>2544728
>how some women actually like to work with it
bruh, theres no way they said "women like being prostitutes actually"

this is also the endgame of legalizing sex work, then every unemployment center will force you into prostitution or they remove your benefits.
you could argue some countries don't even have those in the first place, but they also mostly do not have a massive pool of labor deliberatly kept unemployed that is the mark of developed economies, including women that you can now send into this incredible new market.

>>2544708
The Trot is right on this one lol

>>2544758
In Germany, they don’t give women unemployment benefits if there’s brothel “jobs” open.

>>2544720
sure. im not convinced by or opposed to that claim but either way it doesnt change anything that i said in that post. many forms of work would be rightly considered pointless abuse if not for the veil of the markets "free and fair exchange"

>>2544758
>this is also the endgame of legalizing sex work, then every unemployment center will force you into prostitution or they remove your benefits.

That's already how things work. It's not the "endgame" of anything.

Sage for yet another reactionary thread on sex and labor.

the objectively correct MLM take (Masculinist-Legalist-Moralist)

if sex work is wrong then does inceldom become morally progressive?

>sex work
*Prostitution

I think you are getting things mixed up here. A Marxist would criticize sex work as capitalism turning people (and most of them are women) into a commodity while acknowledging socioeconomic circumstances that drive people into a position to have to sell their bodies, instead of condemning these people like right wingers would as filthy and dirty individuals who have failed some patriarchal and Christian ideal or whatever. Marxists ultimately seek to abolish sex work in the long term while not playing into patriarchal values that are mere bourgeois constructs. It‘s liberals who see it as a pure culture war matter, where they rightfully oppose the dehumanizing right wing perspective of sex workers, but without any outlook to overcome capitalism eternalize the matter and therefore see as the only solution to invert the value judgement. Sex work then becomes empowering and respectable, despite the fact that all sex workers are put through severe mental toll and some of them die.

>>2544765
That is a myth that was spread in the early 2000s when Germany declared sex work a legal occupation. But unemployed people are not offered brothel jobs and such jobs are also not a part of mandatory job placements.

>>2544671
I don't know any leftist who supports this type of exploitation. This is a capitalistic endeavor between a strip club and wal mart. A better option would've been to release the files and keep the government open but orange wants violence at the expense of children, the elderly, the permanently disabled or anyone deemed unfit, the single mother is the example the propagandists make the rule. If a woman is stripping and people are willing to pay she sure as hell doesn't need to strip for wal mart.

>getting your pussy penetrated by a penis >>>worse than>>> inhaling evil chemicals that are not supposed to be inhaled, going blind, permanently fucking up your back

yeah it's work

>but it's dehumanizing!!!

so… like a job?

>>2545765
Not only is it work, it's skilled labor.

Anti-sex work """leftists""" will see a starving woman selling herself, and conclude a solution to her predicament is banning sex work.

i don't give a fuck about any of this
keep it in the mallshart general
