Let's put aside the elephant in the room (India's obsession with Israel), and even their anti-muslim pro-hindu-obsession. Just look at their diplomatic and trade situation with Russia, China, and the USA.

India, by the laws of history, should have become communist-led by 2010, the latest. Socialism was (and still is) the class interest of 98% of their population. It's fucking insane, if you think about how cucked their comprador bourgeoisie situation is + the underdeveloped state of their infrastructure, their semi-feudal small manufacturing, their idiotic e-scam economy, the absolute destitution of their villages/peasants, and so on. Obviously, it was the USA that """"helped"""" India to get rid of the Naxalite """"threat"""".

But then you look at this fucking country's geopolitics/diplomacy/trade and it DOESN'T MAKE FUCKING SENSE, DUDE.

https://swentr.site/india/627932-new-great-game-in-south-asia/ (Please ignore the title and keep reading, it's a very good summary.)

Like, what the actual FUCK is India's foreign policy?!

They hate Pakistan, they try to bribe Sri Lanka, they suck both US and multipolar dick at the same time, and they have constant border disputes.

It's fuckin insane, to the point that future historians will be writing books about the ridiculous failures of India's foreign policy.

>India, by the laws of history, should have become communist-led by 2010, the latest.
nah, the bourgeoise accrued way more power since the 1990s and has since strengthened their grip on the media and elections. they have been smearing the socialist governments of the nehru and gandhi family era for its failure, and they aren't wrong because it was largely a stagnant era. fabian socialism doesn't work in a developing economy. they needed a maoist/ML communist revolution and their best chance was during the early to mid 20th century before the british administrative system transfered over and the institution of parliamentary democracy was established. now they are going to have to traverse the revolutionary road the hard way, as bourgoise power has massively grown, taking over the productive forces which are technologically more advance now than pre-independence, exploiting liberal democracy through powerful lobbying, as well as having more sophisticated deployment of capitalist ideology through the media and internet. for instance, the problems of the economy and inequality gets diverted into noneconomic explanations like identity and religious narratives targeting minorities, hence the rise and dominance of the BJP.

I think India is a wildcard country, the one most primed for revolution

India post INC has had a retarded econmic policy where they are trying to develop high tech industries without a mature industrial base. You have to build steel mills, apartment blocks, and railways before building computer centers.
>>2566265
The BJP is running Indian into the ground, hopefully their failure will lead to a revolution.

BJP is doing fine. India is just trammeled by electoral politics, wherein politicians have to do stupid things to win them elections. Growth rates, in general, are at acceptable levels.

Foreign policy-wise, India has a horrific habit of picking losing ships. Too much pride, not enough capability. That said, Pakistan is reduced (Mexicanized, but with nukes), which is a RAW success.

Watch this video, it's just half an hour and explains what happened to India.

My personal interpretation of this, as a Indian communist, was the economic stagnation of the Permit Raj/Nehruvian era prevented any meaningful class struggle arising by preventing industrialization and aggressively promoting the interests of the peasantry, petty-bourg, and small landowners. There won't be any proletarian conflict when there's barely any proletarianization occouring at all
>but then why isn't there one now after liberalization/deregulation
Same reason there aren't any major communist movement in most other developing (and developed) countries, there's enough spectacle to keep proletarians occupied with petty nonsense (media/advertising/religion/ethnicity/language/etc) and distract them from their material conditions.
On the foreign policy front, lmao. Your guess is as good as mine- but I'd say it's just because all of south asia (correctly) realized tying themselves to the next economic hegemon (china) was a better call than tying themselves to a decrepit, unstable ethnonationalist menace and all of indian diplomacy since the late 2000s has been an extended crashout over this fact. Fundamentally, most of India is not governed by logic or common sense like anywhere else is, it's a very very strange place (and you realize this more if you get to leave it)
>>2566273
very true. to add to >>2566348, growth rates are, on paper, acceptable, but that very rarely translates to any major benefits for 95+% of the population- the post-liberalization profits are concentrated on wealthy tier-1 city urbanites. Unfortunately I doubt a revolution is on hand, atp they'll just double down on electoral fraud and hindu nationalism while everything burns

In conclusion we have been living in a protracted century (centuries?) of humiliation except unlike the Chinese we actually only have ourselves to blame for this. I hate this place

One thing to note is that the growth rate was decent until the mid 60s on the basis of heavy industrial development where it hit a wall, which, basically would have required agricultural collectivization & mechanization to overcome (although not only).

Interestingly China in both the Map and post Mao era had better economic growth even in per capita terms then India.

Biggest issue is that electoral democracy is a profoundly conservative force as elites use it to defend themselves.

GINI-wise, as a measure of immiseration, India is fine; it looks European. In terms of wealth inequality, it's a mess.

Whoever said India was socialist was right, because it's Scandinavian socialist, looks equal in terms of income, meanwhile, high-caste fat cats horde all the wealth.

An actual socialist country MUST have state capital on the behalf of the proletariat and control a substantial portion of national wealth. And India isn't it; it's Indo-LDP and can't fully clone the CPC for that reason.

In truth, India is far less likely to have a revolution than it is to split apart. Comrades should move to Kerala and support the CPI there.

>>2566430
What India needs is state lead investment in heavy industry, infrastructure, and agriculture. Which would require the BJP to go.

kerala should forcibly annex the rest of the country

First time seeing an imperialist wannabe?

>they suck both US and multipolar dick at the same time
most countries do this
"multipolar" powers also suck the USA's dick

>>2566707
Kerala should be independent first. USIR when?

>>2566270
I honestly don't know how the Naxalites didn't get more support. There must have been really strong boogeyman anti-communist propaganda by Hindu religioids/West-glazers

>>2566430
No one can convince me electoral democracy isn't just a release valve for revolutionary pressure.
