End of fossil fuel era inches closer as Cop30 deal agreed after bitter standoff
Developing countries achieved part of their goal at the global talks, which was a tripling of the financial support available from rich countries to help them adapt to the impacts of the climate crisis. They should receive $120bn (£92bn) a year for adaptation, from the $300bn developed countries pledged to them last year, but not until 2035, instead of the 2030 deadline they were demanding. Many had also hoped the increase would be on top of the $300bn.

Welcome to the Jungle: An Interview with a Fighter of the Anti-Fascist International Front in Myanmar
Since the coup, the opposition has made impressive territorial gains and victories, such as the five-month-long Battle of Falam in the Chin State. Currently, the military controls about 21 percent of the country, while anti-regime forces and EAOs control around 42 percent, with the rest currently being contested. The most recent mass casualty event of the war happened on October 6, 2025 when regime forces used a paraglider to bomb a Buddhist festival that was also an anti-government protest; at least two dozen people died including two members of the resistance group Sagaing Region Strike Forces. The conflict is complicated due to several reasons: the variety of EAOs and anti-junta groups operating in the country and their differing goals, the influence of China and other countries, and a 7.7 earthquake in March, among other factors. One such anti-junta force is the Anti-Fascist International Front (AIF), a relatively new armed group that came together before the Battle of Falam. Below, we have an interview with Azad, a fighter of the AIF. Militant Wire co-founder War Noir facilitated and conducted the interview.

The Communist Party of Venezuela on U.S imperialist aggression and the national crisis
Washington attempts to justify this military presence by claiming to be fighting drug trafficking. However, this narrative is nothing but a smokescreen designed to conceal its true objective: to intervene in the Venezuelan political crisis in order to secure strategic and economic advantages for U.S. capital. It is in this context that one must interpret the recent statements by the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, who arrogantly declared: “the Western Hemisphere is America’s neighborhood and we will protect it.” History shows that U.S. imperialism adapts its excuses to the moment. During the existence of the Socialist Bloc, it invoked the “communist threat” to justify coups d’état, invasions and covert operations. After September 11, the pretext shifted to the “war on terrorism.” Today, it instrumentalizes the so-called “fight against drug trafficking” to carry out extrajudicial executions in the Caribbean and the eastern Pacific, which have so far resulted in 83 people summarily killed. Adding to this is a recent statement by Donald Trump, who claimed to have authorized the CIA to operate inside Venezuela. The covert operations of this imperialist agency have left a long trail of blood and destabilization across the continent: from financing the Contras in Nicaragua — with resources originating from drug trafficking — to intervention in Guatemala, Chile and Brazil, where they promoted coups d’état, unleashed criminal dictatorships and systematically violated human rights.

Karl Marx: The Poverty of Philosophy Answer to the Philosophy of Poverty Chapter One: A Scientific Discovery Part 1. The Antithesis of Use Value and Exchange Value
“The capacity for all products, whether natural or industrial, to contribute to man’s subsistence is specifically termed use value; their capacity to be given in exchange for one another, exchange value…. How does use value become exchange value?… The genesis of the idea of (exchange) value has not been noted by economists with sufficient care. It is necessary, therefore, for us to dwell upon it. Since a very large number of the things I need occur in nature only in moderate quantities, or even not at all, I am forced to assist in the production of what I lack. And as I cannot set my hand to so many things, I shall propose to other men, my collaborators in various functions, to cede to me a part of their products in exchange for mine." (Proudhon, Vol. I, Chap.II)
M. Proudhon undertakes to explain to us first of all the double nature of value, the “distinction in value,” the process by which use value is transformed into exchange value. It is necessary for us to dwell with M. Proudhon upon this act of transubstantiation. The following is how this act is accomplished, according to our author. A very large number of products are not to be found in nature, they are products of industry. If man’s needs go beyond nature’s spontaneous production, he is forced to have recourse to industrial production. What is this industry in M. Proudhon’s view? What is its origin? A single individual, feeling the need for a very great number of things, “cannot set his hand to so many things.” So many things to produce presuppose at once more than one man’s hand helping to produce them. Now, the moment you postulate more than one hand helping in production, you at once presuppose a whole production based on the division of labour. Thus need, as M. Proudhon presupposes it, itself presupposes the whole division of labour. In presupposing the division of labour, you get exchange, and, consequently, exchange value. One might as well have presupposed exchange value from the very beginning. But M. Proudhon prefers to go the roundabout way. Let us follow him in all his detours, which always bring him back to his starting point.
