For example look at how often police kill or brutalize a mentally ill person because they're not trained to properly de-escalate or handle mentally ill people. When all you have is a hammer every problem looks like a nail. The cops, especially in America, are armed with military surplus, trained by the IDF, and are basically trained to act like their own communities are foreign countries that they're occupying.

Not true, master baiter, but even if it were, there are superior methods of physically restraining mentally ill people than holding them down on scorching hot concrete, and in any case the police are trained to injure people into submission, to not make people submit with minimal injury, like mental health professionals are.
