>55.8% of the respondents say the Communist state itself was also good.

>66.2% of Romanians believe Communist leader Nicolae Ceaușescu was a "GOOD LEADER"

Any opinions?

doesnt matter they are all boomers that will all be dead within 10-20 years

W

Good, but It won't change anything except more Orbans to satisfy them and stuck in the EU in the following future.

Literally 99.9% of people could say "communism was better" in an eastern European or east Asian country and nobody who shits out about how situations and conditions were worse in commie times would care. They will just regurgitate the same tropes about Venezuela north Koreans eat grass breadlines etc. etc.

>% of nostalgia boomers in the big 25
SYBAU

66% of Romania is boomers?

He sucked
Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, and Chekoslokia at some points were the only really good eastern european socialist republics other then the USSR itself (and again that can only be appiled between 1922-1929 and 1958-1972).

regarding OP post, maybe i should look into ceausescu more since i always regarded him as the most subpar out of them all [gomunist leaders] due to le palace and questionable demographic policy

Anticommunist sentiment is heavy in Romania, it's basically considered standard fact that Nicolae was an idiot and a horrible leader. People mostly associate communism with the heavy austerity measures he enacted to get rid of that imf debt. Still it's a mixed bag, younger people are inundated with 30 years of anti communist nationalist ruling ideology, but they're not stupid either they can tell things aren't much better now either and getting worse. For older people it's a mix of that, their personal experience under the system, nostalgia and things being different and/or better back then.

I watched this movie from Romania that goes kind of into that situation. "I'm an old communist hag", would recommend if you want to get a sense of the more positive/nostalgic aspects of Romanian's view towards the communist era. Romania has a lot of good movies in general

MLibs be posting this not knowing that the average age there is 60 and people tend to miss their youth

It only proves nationalist illusions about le glorious past they had under that socdem monarchy

>>2579947
>leftcom regurgitating unironic anticommunist counterarguments
no contradiction

>>2579947
>It's just nostalgia!! These things can only be explained by my essentialist pseudo psychoanalysis of boomers
Lol and you have the gall to call others libs

>>2579947
>Old who Lived under socialism:Its nostalgia
>young who has a positive view: you dont know your history
Also Ceaușescus popularity is in the youth as well to the point the Romanian government is clamping down on it. Look at this anti-commie burger get upset about some young university students saying positive things about the socialist period. These are supposed to be the most pro-EU

>If you are poor: You are envious.

>If you are rich: You are a hypocrite.
>If you don't have a don't have a degree: You are ignorant.
>If you do have a degree: You are disconnected/utopian.

Anyone care to add to the list? Maybe:

>If you are an incel: You are bitter.

>If you have big family: You had too many kids.
>If you are a worker in the public sector: You are entitled.
>If you are a worker in the private sector: You are resentful and/or lack entrepreneurship.

They've shot him and his wife without trial or anything approaching legality precisely because he actually had high approval ratings

>Aurafarming by singing the internationale before his execution

>55.8% of the respondents say the Communist state itself was also good.

Hungary was nice too.

>>2583321
no it's probably because he ran romania into the ground doing vanity projects, forced the population to have an insane amount of children literally causing orphanages to be overrun, and was the textbook opportunist

>>2584435
Chauvinists like to reminisce about the good old days and love strong men dominating them, this is why you see the russian nationalists who shock therapied their country shill for Stalin for example

>>2579281
Yes LMAO

>>2580550
This is like when young people say on the US that they like socialism (welfare state).

>>2584445
>and love strong men dominating them,
I wonder what Freud would say about this phenomena.
