There was a massive movement against the war in Iraq (literally millions of people) but it didn't lead to anything so people got disheartened.
I think the two key differences between the Vietnam War and the Iraq War is that with Vietnam there was a draft so the average person was forced to pay attention, and back then the media was actually interested in covering war and anti-war demonstrations.

There haven't been mass protests but at the very least most Americans are against it according to polling.
People just don't think their individual actions matter in the broader scheme of things. The average American is very demoralized.

Because (and I say this as a us citizen) there is no left in America, and the little left that there is, is critically online ✋🤚 so unless there is troops on the ground there will be no anti-war protests, America is a violent country culturally as well because if we aren’t going to protect our own “HWhite babies” from fucking getting shot to death by a gun at school once every other day what makes you think Americans (mostly republicans) care about random people getting drone striked? God I hate it here.

Protesting doesn't work and most people finally understand this. The other options are adventurism or general strikes. No leftist is stupid enough to do adventurism. General strike requires an organised workers movement that isn't sold out to the bosses a.k.a. it doesn't exist yet.

"Anti-war", no matter if it's coming from the left or right, is retarded. There would not be the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Cuba without war. Violence is the ultimate source of where all power is derived. Shit doesn't get done without a few brokeuyghs
