don't bother studying any political theory or philosophy from the 21st century, marx and engels already figured out how the entire world works in 1893. everything that can be learned has been learned, we understand ourselves and our world perfectly and now the only thing to do is put down the books and join the vanguard party. don't overstress your tiny little brain trying to think, it's a waste of time. the men already got it figured it out, sweetheart. the time for critical thought and introspection and empathy for the human condition is over, now it's time for the real work. let's make america great again.
I disagree
>>2602523the fact remains that not a single already established liberal democratic bourgeois state has had anything close to a communist revolution (as we typically imagine in our schema eg russia. china, vietnam). So the true question is: was kautsky sort of right? Is there a totally different path to take in these states?
>>2602498sometimes vulgar Marxist "fuck'em rich bastards" is the right approach
>>2602523nobody fucking figured anything out. it's been thousands of years of people claiming to have figured out how the system works and always being proven wrong. we understand this when it comes to the natural sciences, we understand that nobody is ever going to fully figure out what matter or energy or gravity is and that our work will never be over. why can't we understand that when it comes to social sciences?
>>2602571Because natural science is quantitative whereas social science and philosophy is more or less qualitative?
>>2602523What the program of the party is then?
>>2603192everything which exists has a quality and quantity
The framework needs to be updated. The social structures honestly feel outdated for where we are at in 2025. Then the force of globalisation. I'm not sure where international groups stand. There needs to be more than just the growing and spreading of the ideas, but identification out of identity politics. Corporate layers of control and ownership, overlapping with layers of control and labor. Subdivisions of society seem to cap growth. The fractured parts are fought for separately, fitting the fracturing of society. There's more I need to clarify but scientifically the theory works in my head.
Well without authoritarianism.
>>2604295we need to figure out how to unify the natural and the social sciences is the problem, but many/most people are extremely vehemently psychotically opposed to doing that or even suggesting such a thing and they will start foaming at the mouth and burn you at the stake if you even talk about it.
>>2602523>but none of them have or even claim to have achieved communismPart of me thinks it simply isn't possible within latter-day material conditions. All of the instances of Actually Existing Socialism have, out of necessity, sacrificed so much in the name of Actually Existing that they have no real path to communism proper; to the withering away of the state and the creation of a classless, stateless society. Like, what reason does the Chinese government have to dispose of its own power?
>>2608827It’s sisyphean, but in a much more positive and progressive sense. You will always be pushing up that boulder higher and higher, but the task will become easier and more comfortable for the pushers.
>>2608832imo that is the whole point of the story of sisyphus, that life is a constant struggle towards an unknown and unreachable goal. that's the human condition, always has been, always will be. but most people interpret it as some kind of cruel damnation because they resent their humanity and they would rather be dead or they would rather be god (what's the difference?) and then they would never have to experience the struggle again.
what Marx figured out was the category of material social totality and how the future will come from dialectical change, concretely based in the old society but representing a total (base + superstructure) change, he saw that all the bourgeois morals and ways of thinking would necessarily perish
>>2608478>what reason does the Chinese government have to dispose of its own power?right now nothing
>>they have no real path to communism proper; to the withering away of the state and the creation of a classless, stateless society. that is very much in dispute
