But it's pretty much impossible now due to how unpopular he is now, Attal and Philippe, the two most prominent former ministers of Macron candidates in the 2027 elections are now critical of him, and in any case, even if they changed their mind after winning the presidential elections, there is no way they'd have a majority in the national assembly, so the national assembly would just vote to fire Macron as prime minister.
Both Hollande and Sarkozy have tried a political comeback, but it's failing, Sarko went to jail and Hollande is part of a party that did 2% at the last elections. I don't see how Macron would do better, I guess he's still young so he could try a comeback in the 2040s.
