So what exactly happened here? Some MAGA kid went around a few Somali-owned daycare centres in the Twin Cities area outside of operating hours and harassed the care workers in order to "prove" these centres were fronts for money laundering without proving any hard evidence. Is that correct?
For the past week, the American right has been using this alleged issue as a way of drumming up hysteria and outrage, not to mention extreme amounts of hatred and xenophobia.

Where there are large government grants there is significant fraud if there aren't controls put in place. Doesn't just apply to monetary outflows but also concessions. We have the same problem with daycares in Australia. Big daycare subsidies are very popular and win votes but end up just increasing costs by and benefiting land owners and scammers.
