We are building the Simón Bolívar International Brigade in coordination with some movements from Venezuela, Brazil, and other Latin American countries. Our goal is to begin sending comrades by the end of January to Caracas, where they will be incorporated into the Bolivarian Popular Militia, in an act of internationalist solidarity.
We currently have a campaign on FireFund for this purpose. We need to raise €5,500 by the beginning of February to cover airfare, passports, logistics, and related costs.

Yes, we are recruiting militants from many parties and movements in Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and other countries. But, if we accomplish the crowdfunding campaign, we will open for independent communists worldwide to join.

The sentiment within Venezuelan social movements is that the US will invade, again, sooner or later, with boots on the ground. We are taking a step ahead, preparing the Brigades for this occasion. Anything is possible with that orange MF in power.

I wish this campaign the best, but I'm unsure how international brigades would work in the context of this being such a lopsided imperialist war, as opposed to civil wars like Syria of the last decade and Spain nearly a century ago.
