Most of these people mentioned, like Candace, are internet grifters, they don't actually believe in this, tapping into far-right narratives is just an easy way to grow a fanbase and make money. For the people with no fame who are actual believers though, like the Indian greek statue twitter Nazis, it's because they're lonely IRL and terminally online. As a result they spent so much time on /pol/ or something similar that all their "friends" are in their fringe internet circles which results in narratives not founded in reality shaping their entire worldview. Alternatively they get intentionally groomed/indoctrinated in those circles. It should seriously be classified as a kind of internet-induced mental illness. I will note that for whatever reason, a huge proportion of Mexicans seem to exhibit this.

If you allow me to use a bit of anecdotic evidence, in my personal experience, it has become more and more common in the latest years that minorities try to put themselves above of other minorities. At least in Europe. That is specially common among newly arrived.
As an example, I have noticed resentment from newly arrived, quite likely illegal, people from Central Asia and Latin America towards people of African descent that have been established here for generations and have housing and jobs way more decent than them. Also in a few cases towards black Americans who end up being treated as more desirable by the locals.
