What are your thoughts on the RCP/RCA/RCI? They seem to be the only communist group that's actively trying to organize near me but maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.
As much as we shit on Trotskyites on here, as far as I know most of these parties are not dickriders at least, making them quite decent. Probably worth joining if there's no better alternatives. Just beware of trot brainrot

Reminder that if you're still unironically bitching about Trots, tankies, Stalinists, revisionists, Khruschevites, etc. in 2026 your are a fundamentally unserious person. Judge a party based on the work they're doing and their line on actual current issues. Their self-described tendency doesn't matter and won't tell you much about their actual positions and work. We're supposed to be a political movement not a historical LARP group.

They behave more like a corporation trying to gain profits through exploiting members than an actual revolutionary organization.
Sell papers to gain members Sto sell even more papers and get even more new members, fry them with quotas until they’re too burnt to keep going which means you’ve gotta pressure members to campaign even more to get new replacements.
They’re creating an awful image for communism and I imagine anyone who’s ever been with them won’t want to hear about communism ever again.
The main guy I knew from them was like actually bourgeois, he was a student who was a son of landowners. He is really annoying and tried to go on dates with me and then got pissed off probably because I didn't want to have sex with him but idk. He ended up getting kicked out lol because he became a dengist and then he joined the Young Greens XD.

I subscribe to their newspaper and I like some of the videos on their channel, though they spend a lot of time defending Trotsky and criticizing Stalin, etc. I suppose every left faction has to do their fair share of criticism and apology. That being said, the paper is decent and I just like having physical books and papers to read.
I am concerned about their sex scandals and their militant attitude towards dues, however. If I find a better publication I’ll probably switch to that.

people can rag on them for whatever but they seem to be the most theoretically sound and actually growing groups. All of the old school ML parties like CPUSA, CPGB, etc are just embarassing messes campainging for the democrats or talking about AES. Or its just more reformists like the DSA, Your party etc. Atleast they actually explicitly say revolution is necessary. They even have a pretty good public media presence and good advertising and aesthethics that dont come off as larpy. If you can't come up with better criticisms than "muh trots" then you have no argument.

That said most section's contributions mainly consist of a few percent high income members contributing half of their income with the memberships of students, unemployed and precariat contributing symbolic amounts.
