Principles of the Federation of Anarchist-Communists in Bulgaria.

We, the participants in the Federation of Anarcho-Communists in Bulgaria, stand behind the following Principles:

Freedom

Anarchist-communism places the freedom of each individual at its core. True freedom is not an individual privilege but a collective condition – as long as even one person is subordinated or deprived of freedom, society as a whole is unfree. Freedom is inseparable from equity. Inequity creates dependencies and exploitation, which limit real freedom.

Solidarity

The development of science and technology implies life in communities and societies, but existence within society requires coordination and agreement among its members. Solidarity represents a nonviolent mechanism for achieving such agreement.

Materialism

We share the philosophy of Materialism. It considers nature, society, human thought, and all phenomena as subject to objective natural laws, independent of an individual's worldview. The only factors that determine the structure and development of society are material.



Consequences

From the above principles, we derive the following positions of our organization:

Rejection of the state and hierarchy

Hierarchy generates power, and power inevitably limits the freedom of the subordinated. The state is a concrete example of a large hierarchical structure that concentrates power and imposes it over society as a whole. Hence, anarchists oppose the state. This opposition is not an end in itself or a matter of personal attitude, but a necessary struggle to achieve true freedom.

Common ownership and collective management of resources

The means of production and natural resources are perceived through collective ownership. Private property is abolished with instead collective ownership taking place to eliminate social and economic exploitation.

Distribution according to needs

The basic economic principle is "From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs." Production and distribution are organized in such a way as to meet the needs of all, without commodity-money relations.

Decentralization and federalism

Society is organized through autonomous communities connected in federations. This achieves coordination without centralized power and preserves the autonomy of each community to act accordingly to their ambitions and problems.

Anti-militarism

Militarism is the ultimate expression of hierarchy and violence. Armies and wars serve the powerful, subjugating societies and destroying solidarity among peoples. We oppose war, militarization, and imperialism because they directly violate the principles of freedom, equality, and solidarity among peoples that we accept.

Fight against capitalism

The capitalist system is based on private ownership of the means of production, exploitation of labor, and the commodification of life and nature. This creates deep socioeconomic inequalities and concentrates power in the hands of a few. Capitalism undermines freedom, turns equality into an illusion, and destroys solidarity, replacing it with competition. We reject capitalism as incompatible with a free, just, and solidarity-based society built on the principles we accept.
