Hi comrades,
I propose we set up a fund, that leftypol can collectively put money into, and then we donate what we raised towards the Nuestra America Flotilla. Comrade Hasan Piker is also participating in the flotilla!
I know that for myself and many comrades Che and Fidel are heroes, it is important if we can help keep alive their legacies, and embrace the idea of the New Socialist Man (or the New Cuban Man) by showing comrades this humanity.
It is also important that the socialist exemplar that is Cuba which had sent many healthcare professional the world over during the Covid Pandemic, continues to show socialist governance as a model to many nations.
I'd advise sometime we set a similar thread for Palestine, I'd recommend 'The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East'.
It is likely best to be discussed here and on our matrix, where details finalised on the leftypol matrix and updates here too, so as to ensure comrades money can properly get sent across. If not, then independent donations can made, relevant links are down below.
So post in this thread to think how we can make this happen and join the matrix!

I hope they are bringing them some fusion reactors
Will you guys be bringing enough oil to last at least another month? Thousands of solar panels? Otherwise what's the point
>>2700540>>2700546The flotilla will be brining in food and medicine, just like the multiple flotilla's have done for Gaza.
Russia is bringing in oil, not sure when it will arrive. China has traded or given solar panels for a few years now.
>>2700506Would sailing there and bringing weapons be considered 'adventurism'?
>>2700553Also isnt the point of the flotilla less to actually alleviate the blockade with supplies and more to do agitprop against the blockade by publicizing the US reaction? This was the purpose of the Gaza flotillas.
>>2700589To my understanding yeah, it was to keep world attention on Palestine and show the insanity of Israel not just to those within but from those without too.
I'm sure comrades relative to the Cuban Flotilla are thinking on similar lines of agitprop. But also both for Palestine and Cuba it was in a way about the real necessity for aid, due to the blockade, to materially help while show the illogic and hypocritical nature of the Blockade, "It is hamas and the cuban govt. hurting their own people", rather it shows the US and Israel are going scorched earth and using siege tactics, and again trying to provide food and medicine and so on.
>>2700589but the us isn't imposing a full blockade of cuba like israel with gaza. drumpf government claims to be sending humanitarian aid and so does mexico
The point of the flotilla was to demonstrate how Israel would react to a shipment of food, making it clear the starvation of Gaza was their goal. What's the point of this flotilla if there's no question that they'll make it safely to Cuba.
>>2700764if it doesn't make it to cuba, it demonstrates the american intent to starve
if it does make it to cuba, cuba gets help
worth it either way
it wont make it to cuba, with no military escort it has no chance.
>>2700771>if it doesn't make it to cuba, it demonstrates the american intent to starveYou misunderstand Cuba's current situation. Of course it will make it to Cuba. That's not even in question.
>>2700780as far as i know they are blocking shipments of oil not humanitarian aid
>>2700786They are not blocking shipments of oil. They are threatening to put tariffs on countries that sell oil.
>>2700790ok they are doing that too but also they have already seized various shipments of oil that were going to cuba
>>2700795That was before the Maduro kidnapping, at that time they were also seizing oil bound for China so long as it was from Venezuela. That blockade was specifically for Venezuela, not Cuba. And its not the development which spurred the current Cuba flotilla, which was the threat of tariffs making Mexico drop Cuba.
>>2700736hurray for russia hopefully
>>2700736>le testdigital age corsairs are going to plunder that shit and all that faggot cucktin will do is seethe on live tv if he even refers to this event again
BadEmpanada had the best take on this: this is ultimately a virtue signal because they don't have any gas. That's what's being blocked and causing everything to break down. If they actually want to SERIOUSLY help the situation, they'd be hauling fuel with them, not bog standard humanitarian aid shit. But doing that also drastically raises the chance the US Navy literally shoots them all, hence why they're not doing it.
>>2700771or because your boats sink from a storm lmao
>>2701011It’s not hurricane season
I hope this recent upturn of "Castro deposed Cuba’s only POC head of state!" and "The Castros were whites oppressing hecking POC who want freedom" finally makes the left abandon woke idiocy forever.
>>2701373The castros where oppressing people of capital
>>2701373wth are you talking about
