I agree that the US govt. giving welfare would be better than it waging warfare, but it's not like it's a balanced budget system where assets have to equal liabilities. The govt. is trillions in debt and nobody will make them pay that debt because they have 800 bases and terrorize everyone and loot resources and do sanctions and embargoes. Some say it doesn't translate into better lives for American workers because the bourgeoisie keeps all of it and then privatizes and deregulates everything anyway, and has a police state with austerity at home and a slave prisons system as well. I think that is partly true. I think treatlerism is overstated, but it does translate into
