Why are western leftist so obsessed with expanding the power of their own imperialist nation-states? Literally everything they do revolves around expanding state power

>muh government healthcare

>muh public housing
>muh government regulations (full of loopholes)
>muh tariffs and 'labor protections' (coddling labour aristocrats)

None of this shit builds working class power or benefits the international proletariat. Westerners are all just little statelerites, screeching for more laws and bureaucracies so taxes can go up and their military-industrial complexes can grow even stronger

Yeah you’re right the real act of proletarian solidarity is to follow the advice of the CATO institute and privatize the roads and mail service

Because they erroneously and unironically think
>mo' government
>mo' communism
It's political brainrot to take the accusations of your enemies and then accept them as strategies. In this case, thinking a more powerful government will somehow make it communist.

There are two options, anarchy of production and distribution, which is the status quo, or planning, which requires expansion of state power

Co ops make the workers anarcho bourgeois, they aren’t a solution to literally anything

>>2703831
>he think the communist movement comes out of nowhere, or theory and far fetched result, and not from defending the immediate material interests of the workers as part of a solid theoretical framework that explain why most gains cant be achieved under the current system and why the struggle must also see further than the immediate fight
retard, read some shit about praxis and building of mass line

>>2703831
>authoritarian leftists want to expand state power
Colour me surprised.

>>2703893
"Authoritarian" was invented in 1867. by Bakunin to render communist organization impossible

>>2703882
>raising taxes is building socialism
riveting praxis

ancap third worldism what they come up with next

Felixism to Ayn Rand pipeline lmao

>>2703831
State-monopoly capitalism builds the material base of socialism. Opposition to the welfare state is classic petty-bourgeois nonsense.
>>2703935
Raising taxes helps proletarianize the reactionary petty-bourgeoisie. Fuck'em landowners and suburban twits.

>>2703831
In the case of America? Because they want to RETVRN to FDR. And they also were fed the simplistic myth of the "authoritarian eastern communist regimes" vs. the "freedom loving scandinavian socialists" by bernie sanders types.

As for others? idk.

If the the us government spends money on this then it has less for the military.
The idea is instead of having a war machine we can have social welfare.
Why are you worried about a hypothetical social democracy having a war machine when the current goverment has defended most social programs and increased military spending?

>>2703895
And Engels basically said "yeah do what?"

>>2703946
>>2703943
Next cope is dSSA CpuSSa would just be imperialism any way infact they would be worse than the current order so a revolution in amerkkka should never happen.
Kind like how eastern Europeans
Go "stalin was a bad as hitler , actaully stalin was worse, and hitler was a great guy"

I guarantee you were right-wing 5 years ago.

The US doesn't spend based on what it has. If they did, they wouldn't be in deficit. I agree that the US govt. giving welfare would be better than it waging warfare, but it's not like it's a balanced budget system where assets have to equal liabilities. The govt. is trillions in debt and nobody will make them pay that debt because they have 800 bases and terrorize everyone and loot resources and do sanctions and embargoes. Some say it doesn't translate into better lives for American workers because the bourgeoisie keeps all of it and then privatizes and deregulates everything anyway, and has a police state with austerity at home and a slave prisons system as well. I think that is partly true. I think treatlerism is overstated, but it does translate into slightly cheaper commodities through currency hegemony. Thankfully that's not going to last much longer but when people are bad at thinking abstractly and understanding systems they're going to go along with it even when it doesn't benefit them because if idpol nonsense like nationalism.
