<Drugs are bad mmmkayWell, most drugs are. I agree with South Park on why marijuana is bad–it makes you ok with being bored. When you could learn a skill or read a book. But yeah I smoke a lot of pot and it's mostly harmless, although it exacerbates ALL of my add symptoms and I'm not going to pretend it's making me better off, but at least I stopped drinking.
Adderall is fantastic (for me) But I have the real adhd that they use eye-tracking software to detect as well as the paradoxical reactions where coffee and other stimulants have a reverse effect. Only amphetamines and tea make me focus though, coffee and soda just make me sleepy.
Heroin and opiates are bad. Very bad. One of my jobs is at a workers' claims company and I look at these old claims from c. 2002 and folks were getting prescribed oxy, hydrocodone, and fetanyl all at once. Opioids are a great pain killer but it's hard to justify them with the harm they've caused China and the rest of the world throughout history.
I don't get Meth. Just go to a college campus and buy adderall. It won't give you meth head face and it's a cleaner high (again, stimulants aren't euphoric for me, adderall turns me into a task zombie)
Psychedelics are good and wholesome but be careful. They are "fun" and can help you become more empathetic. However, if the mother's side of your family has a history of schizophrenia or bipolar it can can "unlock" those tendencies in you as well. Also bad shit can seriously fuck with your mind.
Ecstasy and MDMA give you fake emotions. I don't like that.
There's a newly discovered mushroom (Lanmaoa asiatica) that is hallucinogenic but oddly, it gives everyone the same hallucination. People report "Lilliputian hallucinations" of little people, the size of borrowers, scampering around. It's so rare that there isn't even an erowid page for it yet. I'd love to try it in china before the buzzkills in the CCP outlaw it.
