US-Israel rift emerges after strikes on Iranian fuel depots
Citing a US official, an Israeli official and a source familiar with the matter, Axios said the scale of the operation sparked "the first significant disagreement between the allies since the war began eight days ago". The dispute stems from US concerns that targeting infrastructure serving Iranian civilians could backfire strategically, potentially rallying Iranian society around the government while also pushing global oil prices higher.

Iran has attacked a dozen countries since the start of US and Israeli bombings and the death of the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The controversial death toll in Ukraine, the deadliest European war in eight decades
Although both governments try to conceal their losses in the armed conflict that has ravaged Ukraine and barely report on them, these figures are approaching two million (1.2 million for Moscow and between 500,000 and 600,000 for Kyiv), according to a report released a month ago by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington. Civilian deaths in Ukraine exceed 15,100, according to the U.N. tally.

Sheinbaum tells Trump: stop illegal arms trade from the US to Mexico
Sheinbaum noted that 75% of guns used by cartels come from the United States. Mexico has repeatedly called on the US government to halt arms trafficking and in 2021 sued several American gunmakers, accusing them of “negligent marketing, distribution and sales”, though the suit was tossed out by the US supreme court last year.

Court records reveal gutting of DHS oversight: ‘Incredibly dangerous’
Hundreds of pages of court filings in a key legal battle in federal court serve to contradict the Trump administration’s repeated claims that the DHS watchdogs are performing “all required functions”. The allegations of failings within the shrunken oversight offices at the DHS, tasked by Congress with investigating civil rights and related concerns, come as the department grapples with public criticism of killings by immigration agents, escalating arrest tactics and plans to increase immigrant detention.

Ken Martin's dysfunctional DNC alarms Democrats
Democratic sources tell Axios that Martin has shown a thin skin and that he personalizes criticism in a way that can be self-defeating. Many DNC officials, donors, and other Democrats believe honest feedback would be greeted with hostility. Thirteen months into his tenure as DNC chair, the limelight — and the criticism that has come with it — appear to have taken a toll on Martin, who often seems melancholy and put-upon, his allies told Axios.

Ahead of midterms, Republicans confront cooling support from young men over Trump policies
Trump’s pledges in his 2024 campaign to curb inflation, boost economic growth, and toughen immigration enforcement helped attract young males to his MAGA movement. A string of attention-grabbing moves, like attending a sneaker event, sitting down with popular podcasters like Joe Rogan and Theo Von and posting content on TikTok, also enhanced his standing with younger men, political analysts said.

1017 - Mogging in Agharta feat. Will Sommer (3/9/26): Chapo Trap House
Will Sommer returns to the show to talk more about the Iran War, this time through the lens of a rapidly fragmenting Republican elite. We discuss the war between the Israel skeptics like Tucker Carlson and the hawks like Mark Levine, and how this ties into a hijacked shipment of nicotine pouches and the transvestigation of Laura Loomer. We also talk about Candace Owens’ docuseries on Erika Kirk, another leaked racist groupchat, and the emerging multiracial coalition of White Supremacy.

Reject Blair, reject war
THERE can be no surprise that Tony Blair has said he believed Britain should have backed the illegal US-Israeli attack on Iran from the start. It shows that he has learned nothing from the disaster of backing George Bush’s criminal war against Iraq 23 years ago, a decision from which his reputation will never recover. The former Labour prime minister thus joins Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage in berating Keir Starmer for being insufficiently pro-Trump. Indeed, you are unlikely ever to hear a breath of criticism of the US president from Blair. Trump has appointed him to the “executive board” dealing with Gaza operating under his notorious and preposterous “Board of Peace,” the only non-US citizen so honoured. Matters of legality or even decency always take second place, with Blair, to his belief that Britain must at all times subordinate itself to the whims of whoever is in the White House. No president can be too deranged, no war so gratuitous, that Blair-Farage-Badenoch will not step up in support. They persist even in face of Trump’s gross US imperialism and brazen authoritarianism.

March 8 between the legacy of working women’s struggles and socialist feminism
In this context, it becomes important to connect feminist struggle with broader social struggle against austerity and privatization policies and to develop new forms of organization combining political action, social mobilization, and trade union pressure. Capitalist globalization has linked the economies of the world together; it has not only produced shared challenges but also created new conditions for transcontinental solidarity that can transform women’s struggles from isolated local battles into a global social movement more conscious of itself and its goals. Therefore, on March 8 and every day that follows, the central question is not how we celebrate this occasion. The real question is how we struggle, organize, and build. Rights won yesterday require renewed awareness and sustained organization to protect them today, and they require a revolutionary left feminist will that does not tire of expanding them day after day until full equality is achieved—an equality that accepts neither halves nor crumbs.

Wow, you don't fuckin say! Turns the strategy of bomb and kill everyone doesn't bring anyone over to your side! What a concept! Truly groundbreaking revelations, it's not like there were extensive studies done after WW2 that concluded terror bombing hardens people's resolve or anything.
