https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DispensationalismDispensationalism is a Christian theological framework for interpreting the Christian Bible which maintains that history is divided into multiple ages called dispensations in which God interacts with his chosen people in different ways.[1]: 19 It is often distinguished from covenant theology, the traditional Reformed view of reading the Bible.[2][3] These are two competing frameworks of biblical theology that attempt to explain overall continuity in the Bible. The coining of the term "dispensationalism" has been attributed to Philip Mauro, a critic of the system's teachings, in his 1928 book The Gospel of the Kingdom.[4][5]
Dispensationalists use a literal interpretation of the Bible and believe that divine revelation unfolds throughout its narrative. They believe that there is a distinction between Israel and the Church, and that Christians are not bound by Mosaic law. They maintain beliefs in premillennialism, Christian Zionism, and a rapture of Christians before the expected Second Coming of Jesus, whom Christians believe to be the Messiah, generally before the Great Tribulation.[6]
Dispensationalism was systematized and promoted by John Nelson Darby and the Plymouth Brethren in the mid-19th century.[7]: 67 It began its spread in the United States during the late 19th century through the efforts of evangelists such as James Inglis, James Hall Brookes and Dwight L. Moody, the programs of the Niagara Bible Conference, and the establishment of Bible institutes. With the dawn of the 20th century, C. I. Scofield introduced the Scofield Reference Bible, which crystallized dispensationalism in the United States.
Dispensationalism has become popular within American evangelicalism. In addition to the Plymouth Brethren, it is commonly found in nondenominational Bible churches, as well as among Baptist, Pentecostal, and Charismatic groups.[8] Protestant denominations that embrace covenant theology, such as the Reformed churches, tend to reject dispensationalism.
>>2739238cool it with the antisemitism
>>2739257Beliefs
Dispensationalists see a historic and demographic distinction between Israel and the Christian Church. For them, Israel is an ethnic nation consisting of Hebrews (Israelites), beginning with Abraham.[7]: 127 Believing that the Old Testament promises to Israel await fulfillment, dispensationists link biblical Israel to the modern state of Israel, viewing its establishment as fulfillment of biblical prophecies concerning Israel.[14] Christian Zionism has made evangelical Christians some of the most ardent supporters of the State of Israel in American politics.[5]
Dispensationalism teaches an eschatology that is explicitly premillennial, in that it affirms the return of Christ prior to a literal 1,000-year reign of Jesus Christ on earth as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies.[7]: 147–148 This millennial kingdom will be theocratic in nature, and not mainly soteriological in the way George Eldon Ladd and others with a non-dispensational form of premillennialism have viewed it.[6] It will be distinctly Jewish, with the throne of David restored.[1]: 31
Dispensational eschatology was popularized in Hal Lindsey's book, The Late Great Planet Earth (1970). In Lindsey's version, the unfolding of events includes the establishment of modern Israel in 1948, Jews regaining control of Jerusalem's sacred sites in the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, a rebuilding of the Temple which has yet to occur, an Antichrist who will come to power, Christians to be removed from the earth in a rapture of the Church, and seven years of tribulation (Daniel's seventieth week) culminating in a great battle of Armageddon in which Christ will triumph over evil and establish a literal 1,000 year reign of his kingdom on earth.[28] Israel and the Church being distinct in this view, the rapture must remove the Church before remnant Israel can be gathered.[1]: 42

>>2739264From the Catholic perspective, dispensationalists believe in millenarianism and enable the antichrist. From the CCC, Art. 7: paragraphs 675-677
675 Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. the supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.
The Antichrist's deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope which can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgement. the Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism, especially the "intrinsically perverse" political form of a secular messianism.
The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection. The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God's victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause his Bride to come down from heaven. God's triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgement after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.

It did not specify the locations of the targeted sites or the results of the attacks.

Here’s a recap of recent developments:
The UK is “intensively looking” at what it can do to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz alongside its allies, according to its energy minister.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty headed to Qatar’s capital Doha, the first stop on a tour of several Gulf states, to “research regional developments” during the US-Israel war on Iran.
A tanker was seen loading oil on Iran’s Kharg island, two days after the US struck military facilities there, according to the vessel-tracking platform TankerTrackers.
A rocket fell in the Bnei Brak and Ramat Gan areas of greater Tel Aviv, according to our correspondent on the ground, injuring four, Israeli emergency services said.
Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has denied reports stating that the government is planning to hold direct talks with Lebanon in the coming days, and that it had told the US it was running low on missile interceptors.
Iran claims US and Israel using copycat 'Lucas' drones to frame it for regional attacks
Bahrain arrests 5 on suspicion of spying for Iran
Bahrain’s Interior Ministry says it has arrested five people for collecting and passing on sensitive information to Iran’s IRGC.
The men arrested were between the ages of 25 and 39, with one allegedly having “received intensive training in Iranian Revolutionary Guard camps”, the government’s statement read.
“He and the rest of the detainees took pictures and coordinates of a number of vital and important places, as well as some hotels in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and sent those pictures and coordinates to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, which helped in the process of targeting those sites,” it added.
UAE intercepts 4 ballistic missiles, 6 drones
The UAE’s Ministry of Defence says it has intercepted several ballistic missiles and drones launched from Iran.
“UAE air defenses intercept 4 ballistic missiles and 6 drones,” it said in a statement shared on social media.
It added that air defences have “intercepted 298 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,606 drones” since the start of the US-Israel war on Iran on February 28.
In the UAE, at least six people have been killed and 142 injured in Iranian attacks during the war.
Rocket falls in greater Tel Aviv area; 1 person injured
A rocket has fallen in the cities of Bnei Brak and Ramat Gan in the greater Tel Aviv area, according to our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic.
Israeli police said they are investigating several sites where rocket and projectile shrapnel has fallen.
One man was hit by glass shards and received minor injuries, The Times of Israel newspaper reported.
Israeli police had earlier said there were no injuries.
The Times of Israel reported that the latest rocket launched at Israel made “impact in a central city” while “a cluster bomb munition or other falling fragments, caused damage to an apartment building”.
US-Israel plan seems unclear as war on Iran appears to be escalating: Norway
Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store says the war in Iran appears to be escalating, adding that the US-Israeli plan for the military campaign seems unclear.
Gahr Store also said no nuclear weapons would be stationed in his country.
Norway strongly criticised Israel’s “preemptive” attacks on Iran, which launched the war, saying they violated international law and labelled Israel an “aggressive nation”.
It has also warned that the US-Israel war on Iran is undermining regional stability.
Israel approves emergency military funding as Iran war rages
Israel has approved an $827m emergency budget allocation for military purchases, according to Israeli media, as the US-Israel war on Iran entered its third week.
The 2.6-billion-shekel package was approved over the weekend by cabinet ministers during a telephone meeting, the Haaretz daily reported. It will be used for “security purchases” and to address “urgent needs”, it said, without providing further details.
A Finance Ministry document circulated to all ministers and cited by several media outlets said, “given the intensity of the fighting”, the additional budget allocation was necessary.
“An urgent and immediate need has arisen to provide an operational response, including the acquisition of munitions, the procurement of advanced weapons systems and the replenishment of critical combat stocks,” the document said.
The document added that the move constituted “an exceptional emergency decision intended solely to address needs arising from the conduct of the fighting”.
The funds will be drawn from the state budget, totalling $222bn and approved by the government on March 12, and expected to be adopted by the Knesset by March 31, according to the reports.

"Sijjil enters the battle"… Revolutionary Guard launches Wave 54: Targeting command centers influential in the occupation's air operations
The public relations department of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced on Sunday the launch of the 54th wave of Operation “True Promise 4”, with the use of the “Sejjil” strategic ballistic missile (solid fuel), for the first time in this war.
The Guard also noted the use of the very heavy “Khorramshahr” missiles with two-ton warheads, as well as “Khaibar Shekan,” “Qadr,” and “Emad” missiles within Wave 54.
He also noted the successful targeting of "the command and decision-making centers that influence the Israeli entity's air operations, the infrastructure that influences the military and defense industries, and the locations where Israeli military forces are gathered."
He stressed that this wave came as a tribute to the soul of the martyr Mahdi and Hamid Bakri and the martyrs of East Tigris.
On the other hand, Israeli media said that the “Sejjil” missile, which Iran used for the first time today, has a range of about 2,500 km.
Sirens sounded in and around Tel Aviv, in the heart of the occupied Palestinian territories.
Israeli media reported a direct hit by a missile in the vicinity of Tel Aviv, while other reports indicated that the residence of the US consul in Israel was hit by shrapnel from an Iranian missile.
Israeli media also reported that at least one settler was injured as a result of rocket fragments falling in the "central" area, while Israeli ambulance reported that 3 Israelis were injured as a result of the Iranian rocket bombardment on southern "Tel Aviv".
This Iranian attack comes as part of Operation "True Promise 4", launched by Tehran in response to American and Israeli aggression against it, during which it targets American bases and interests in the region, and qualitative targets of the Israeli occupation inside the occupied Palestinian territories.

Among them is the "Palmahim Air Base south of Tel Aviv"… Hezbollah targets occupation sites and settlements
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced that its fighters targeted the “Palmahim Air Base” south of “Tel Aviv”, which is 140 km away from the Lebanese border, with a qualitative missile at 06:00 this morning, Sunday.
At the same time, they targeted a gathering of occupation vehicles in Khallat al-Aqsa, on the outskirts of the border town of Adaysah, with a swarm of attack drones.
At 08:30 this morning, Sunday, the military industries complex belonging to the Rafael company in the northern Krayot area and the air defense system in Ma'alot-Tarshiha were hit by two missile salvos, in two separate operations.
In defense of Lebanon and its people, and in the context of the warning issued by the Islamic Resistance to the settlement of “Nahariya” in northern occupied Palestine, the mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance targeted it at 12:00 noon with a barrage of rockets.
At 02:00, Hezbollah targeted a gathering of Israeli occupation soldiers in Khallat al-Mahafir, on the outskirts of the border town of Adaysah, with a large barrage of rockets.
Likewise, at 03:00, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli occupation soldiers at the Calf Hill site, north of the "Kfar Yuval" settlement, with a rocket salvo.
At 03:45 this morning, Hezbollah targeted a gathering of Israeli occupation army soldiers at the Jibia point opposite the border town of Mays al-Jabal with artillery shells.
At 00:30, midnight Saturday-Sunday, a gathering of Israeli occupation soldiers in the "Avivim" barracks was targeted with a rocket salvo.
Israeli media: US consul's residence hit by Iranian missile; injuries reported in Tel Aviv.
Israeli media reported on Sunday that an Iranian missile had fallen almost directly in the vicinity of Tel Aviv.
She spoke about the US consul's residence in "Israel" being hit by Iranian missile shrapnel.
Israeli media also reported that at least one settler was injured as a result of rocket fragments falling in the "central" area, while Israeli ambulance services had previously reported that three Israelis were injured as a result of Iranian rocket fire on southern Tel Aviv.
This news comes in the wake of the announcement by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of the launch of the 54th wave of “True Promise 4” operations, which targeted the occupied Palestinian territories.

Israeli mayors refuse return to normalcy during war
The Israeli army has been trying to ease restrictions on public gatherings. In a nutshell, the mayors of many municipalities are telling the Israeli Home Front Command, which advises the country during the war,… “good luck”.
We’re not going to obey these instructions, even if you communicate them. We don’t think it’s safe yet for schools to reopen. We don’t feel it’s safe for 100 people to gather at any one time, even if there’s a shelter nearby.
And the reason is these [air raid] sirens keep going off. These missiles keep reaching Israeli cities.
In the north, the situation is even worse. You have hundreds of projectiles launched at Israeli towns in the north, with many people being evacuated because it is simply not safe for them to remain in their homes.
So it’s really impossible for mayors to see a formula in which normalcy can return, given all of this. And that directly contradicts all the promises, statements, and confidence Israeli officials expressed in the first days of the war.
Now, an Israeli army spokesperson is telling the media the army has plans for at least three more weeks of fighting.
Iran hits cities across Israel with new missiles: ‘One of the fiercest days’
Another wave of Iranian missile strikes. The attacks hit several locations, including the city of Tel Aviv. Despite all the talk of Iran’s military capabilities being destroyed, we are still seeing strikes coming from Iran into Israel, including [with] what appear to be new types of munitions.
Sources in Israel have told me they counted 10 separate volleys of Iranian missiles from the morning until midday. This is one of the fiercest days of the confrontation since the US and Israel launched the war on Iran, and we are seeing different kinds of missiles coming from Iran.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has been talking about the names and capabilities of some of these weapons. What we can tell you is that some have cluster warheads. They splinter into multiple bombs and can cause damage across a radius as wide as 10km (6 miles). Others are simply larger and carry far more explosives.
They even sound different all the way here in Ramallah. The scope of the attacks has covered cities from Netanya on the northern coast of Israel, all the way to the Negev in the south. So a very wide range of cities.
Millions of Israelis have been in and out of shelters all day, to the frustration, of course, of everyone involved.
Hundreds of ships wait near Strait of Hormuz amid rising regional tensions
There are currently about 1,000 vessels waiting to transit the Strait of Hormuz, including roughly 200 oil tankers carrying supplies needed around the world. Oil markets have reacted with prices soaring, and fuel costs are rising in countries around the world, as the Iranian military still maintains a hold over this very strategic waterway.
There have been a number of threats from Iran’s military towards vessels as they try to make the journey or even get close to the entrance of the Strait of Hormuz. A few days ago, I saw a ship burning in the distance for several hours. There was no indication if it had been attacked by the Iranian military, but given similar actions over the past couple of weeks, that remains a possibility.
Iran has said it will not allow US and US-affiliated ships to pass through, while others are able to transit the waterway. But ships not linked to the United States have also been targeted. Just the other day, a Thai-flagged vessel was attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and ballistic missiles were targeted towards that. They struck them, and around 20 of the crew members had to be rescued by the Omani Navy. There’s still an understanding that about three crew members are missing at sea.
>>2739903Iran says it does not seek ceasefire, vows continued self-defenseIranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has insisted that Tehran has not requested a ceasefire or sought negotiations with Washington, saying that the country will continue defending itself amid ongoing conflict with the United States.
In comments to CBS News, Araghchi said, “No, we never asked for a ceasefire, and we have never asked even for negotiation. We are ready to defend ourselves as long as it takes. And this is what we have done so far, and we continue to do that until President Trump comes to the point that this is an illegal war with no victory. There are people being killed only because President Trump wants to have fun. This is what he has said.”
Araghchi criticised the US administration’s conduct in the conflict, describing actions such as targeting ships as “a war of choice by President Trump and the United States.”
He also rejected the notion that Iran is fighting a war of survival, saying the government is “stable and strong enough” to defend its people without negotiating.

I have two questions for people who know more than me:
- Do you think there is any chance that any of the gulf countries actually kick out the Americans during/after this? Iran is trying to show them they're nothing but meat shields and has said they will only attack countries that let US/Israel attack them.
- Iran has taken out a bunch of radars and shit. Has this resulted in anything we can observe? I'm thinking the hit to intercept ratio should be improved drastically and maybe sirens not going off etc.

They Were Promised Regime Change. Now Many Iranians Feel Betrayed. One Tehran-based civil-society activist and former political prisoner said Iranians were truly hopeful two weeks ago as the war began. Now, the person said, they feel betrayed. An English-language teacher living in Tehran who is opposed to the government but also the war was more blunt. “We were f—ed over,” the teacher said, saying they were turned into an excuse to launch a devastating war. “It’s like we have gone back a hundred years in time.”
“The penny has dropped for a lot of people that this may be much more about state collapse than regime change,” said Ellie Geranmayeh, an Iran expert at the European Council on Foreign Relations.
The realization that regime change isn’t immediately in the cards has also changed the calculus of Kurdish armed groups based in the border area between Iraq and Iran. After weighing an uprising in the Kurdish-majority areas of western Iran, the Kurds put their plans on hold, deterred by the government’s strength and the lack of foreign military commitment to push for change, according to representatives of several Iranian Kurdish groups, which are mostly based in neighboring Iraq and border areas.

An Israeli force entered the countryside of Daraa and Quneitra
An Israeli force in military vehicles once again entered the western countryside of Daraa and southern Quneitra, setting up checkpoints.
Our correspondent reported that six Israeli military vehicles entered the village of Sayda El Golan in the southern countryside of Quneitra, then withdrew towards the village of Hanout and entered their base in Til El Seji.
In the same context, a military force consisting of 24 vehicles advanced between the towns of Tarneja and Jabat al-Khashab in the northern countryside of Quneitra, while simultaneously establishing a military checkpoint between the villages of Ayn Zaker and al-Maqrez in the western countryside of Daraa.
Recently, Israeli forces have been militarily advancing into southern Syria, with warplanes and helicopters flying overhead.
Tehran on nuclear material, detained Americans and internet access
Iran’s foreign minister has addressed questions about the country’s enriched uranium, detained Americans and internet access during the war.
Araghchi told CBS News that Iran’s enriched uranium supplies are under the rubble of facilities damaged in attacks, as verified by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
“There is the possibility to retrieve them but under the supervision of the agency. If one day we come to the conclusion to do that, it would be under the supervision of the agency. But for the time being, we have no programme. We have no plan to recover them from under the rubble.”
He added that Iran had previously offered to dilute its 60-percent enriched uranium in negotiations with the US, but “for the time being, nothing is on the table.”
Regarding Americans held in Iran, including journalist Reza Valizadeh and Kamran Hekmati, Araghchi said, “Well, if the US and Israel do not attack our prisons, I guess they are safe.”
On internet access, he acknowledged that Iranians generally lack open access but defended his own connectivity. “Well, because I’m the voice of Iranians and I have to defend their right, so this is why I have access to the internet. We have our voice being heard by the international community. But the internet is closed because of security reasons, because we are under attack, we are under aggression and we have to do everything to protect our people. In any country, there are, you know, urgent measures taken for this, for the sake of war.”
Iran’s Araghchi frames missile, drone strikes as retaliation for US use of allied territory
Iran’s foreign minister has framed Iran’s missile and drone operations as responses to US forces using the territory of regional allies.
“These are the countries that have given their soil to American forces to attack us,” Araghchi said during the CBS News interview. “So what can we do? We just sit and watch that American forces are attacking us from their soil? … We are only targeting American assets, American installations and American military bases. Everything belongs to Americans.”
Iran has been attacking its regional neighbours since the outbreak of the conflict more than two weeks ago.
Araghchi added that Iranian forces have provided safe passage for vessels from other nations and the Strait of Hormuz is not completely closed but insecurity arises from US aggression.
“We provide them security to pass because we have not closed this strait. They are not coming themselves because of the insecurity that is there, because of the aggression by the US.”
