Although the 6th Congress is being held as an ordinary congress, it is considered a congress of change and transformation due to the war situation in the Middle East and the proposed changes to the Social Contract. Riham Hico stated that the stance of Yazidi women in the struggle for freedom in Shengal is clear, and continued: “We are ready to do whatever is necessary for the unity of our society, democratic integration, and a democratic solution. We will think and discuss based on Mount Shengal and Yazidism. Not only Shengal, but also Yazidis in Rojava, Bakur, and especially Başur Kurdistan are under threat. All of this is our responsibility. The UAE’s state-owned aluminium conglomerate, Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA), says that its Al Taweelah production base suffered “significant damage” from Iranian missile and drone attacks on Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa Economic Zone earlier today.
In a statement, EGA said numerous employees were injured from the attacks, though none are in critical condition, and that damage assessment is ongoing.

The US Central Command has announced on X that the USS Tripoli, along with the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group/31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, has arrived in its “area of responsibility.” The deployment includes around 3,500 US sailors and Marines.
