What is the leftypol stance on pitbulls? Personally i think they’re dangerous and should stop being bred

I don’t understand how pit mommies can say “oh they’re so sweet and caring, you’re more likely to be killed by x than a pittie” when they were bred to be violent and aggressive

pitbulls are a total exception to the rule of normal dog activity, which makes them rightfully persecuted as a problem breed, and in civil society, should be banned.

The problem with pitbulls is the same problem with selective breeding for dogs in general. Breeders want their dogs to be "strong" and "aggressive" and now you have that combined with all the problems inbreeding gives you. But a lot of people complaining about them still want their hecking cute doggo breeds that can barely breath and move so they rarely point it out.

Under Communism there will be mandatory euthanization of all pit bulls. All pit bull owners will be hunted down and shot.

You know there's a lot of conflicting arguments you could make about the whole topic but the fact that every time a pit bull kills a kid or something the news gets spammed by pitbull advocates is a fuckign problem. Like these people go and harass victims of dog maulings. Independent of the breed this is a fucking problem.

Tangentially related to this thread but i’ve just been out for a walk and noticed so much dog shit on the ground. I think people that just let their dogs shit on the ground without picking it up should have their dogs taken away

They aren't more aggressive than other breeds but at the same time, there aren’t many breeds with as much physical force as a pitbull.
Other factor is that people that buy or adopt pitbulls aren't stable human beings. Dogs are smart animals, they will adapt to survive and protect their family. If you stop breeding them, people that buy pitbull will start buying other similar races that aren't as popular today, it isn't going to change anything.
