REJECT moden sloppy SoVless female goon books

EMBRACE 2016 soulfull cultured female goon books

Was there sex in Hunger Games? I thought that book was like, Fortnite but in a version of the US with an even worse planned logistics chain.

10 YN books and there isn't a single good one, impressive
>>719806
yes, there is a terribly long sex scene at the end of the third book to end the trilogy with a bang

File: 1761339378986.png (7.62 MB, 1750x2560, ClipboardImage.png)

hunger games >>> everything else in this image; i kind of liked it as a teenager and reading divergent after was genuinely disappointing.
also if you get past the virally marketed slop, you can still find some genuinely good, relatively recent romantasy books.

why are women seen as the gender that masturbates to words more than moving images when male weebs had doujins since the 1980s?

im kinda embarrassed that at 18 i read hunger games and really liked it. never read any of the sequels.

>>719815
Men are more visual when it comes to sexuality.

Can we post charts of our recent reads ITT? I think mine looks kind of nuts.

gooning back in the ancient days was like an unecessary adventure, you had OVA produced on VHS and Laserdiscs, newhalf futanaris or tomboys or were not their own genres and you had to look at every description on the cover of a doujin before buying it, you had to buy it in a store since no site is on your magic computer box yet, and you can only reach japanese hentai if you phisically buy it from a store or knew a guy who knew a guy who knows a vending machine nearby the red light district and it had genderbent mind break for 400 yen, or have a mail-order catalogue from the owner before purchasing what video you want for your casette player

>>719819
what's to be embarrased about? afraid your medium was too reddit or 4chan or soy or chud? if you've like it, you liked it, don't let a fandom make you feel embarrased about it…

File: 1761343724237.png (447.91 KB, 406x680, ClipboardImage.png)

imagine working a 12 hour shift just to get home and catch your wife gooning to booktok thirst traps from performative males who dont actually read 💔

I wish I could read.

>>719822
Oh man World War Z is so incredibly full of retarded american liberalism my eyes hurt because of how much they were rolling when I read that slop

What kind of garbage liberal slop do women like this even read? I feel like for every 1 woman reading Fanon or something there are 10 who read period drama goon shit. Why the hell do people even read in the first place? Most of it is trash. Stick to non-fiction reading theory, with maybe a truly great classic thrown in there once in a while like Pynchon. Overall, I have yet to meet one of these book fetishists who wasn't a raging liberal with 10 disjointed "humamitarian" belief systems.

>>719871
>women like this
Well they're YA novels, so highschool algebra.
>Why the hell do people even read in the first place?
If you stopped wasting your time on video essays you'd find some reading you'd enjoy
>Most of it is trash.
What a nothing statement. So as applied to music, but even moreso for written works. Like yeah, you're going to experience some mid things before you find what you want. Don't be so brittle.
>Stick to non-fiction reading
There's mid non-fiction works too. A good author can convey a fiction or non-fiction well, a mid author will fumble either. Writing is a skill, regardless of subject matter.
>Overall, I have yet to meet one of these book fetishists who wasn't a raging liberal
Get off twitter, then. The relevant commonality was they were on twitter, not that they read erotica.

>>719869
Everything is so obviously written from an American exceptionalist perspective, i think this even adds to the experience. Like you're learning about all of these events in the alt-history setting from a mediocre pop-history book.

File: 1761371765100.jpg (73.32 KB, 321x500, handmaid's tale.jpg)

The Handmaid's Tale is basically the liberal feminist version of BNWO.

Prove me wrong.

>>719824
Because Hunger Games is for teenagers and manchildren, you shouldn't be reading this shit as n adult.

>>719912
You mayas well say that for most time honored literature then.

>>719872
Have you ever seen the typical adult fiction aisle? Especially for women's preference?

>>719819
Whats so bad about the series?

>>719916
No, Time Honored litterature hasn't been made for teenagers and manchildren.

>>719916
It's been quite a while since I've been to a brick and mortar library or bookstore (RIP Hastings, I miss Hastings) in general.

>>719912
>>719918
Get off twitter/reddit, "manchildren" aren't a real demographic and you're stunting your own maturity at teenhood by rejecting things under possession of juvenoid spooks rather than either articulating a coherent criticism or not having a stance on it in the first place. Kill the video essayist in your brain.

>>719920
I don't have a video essayist in my brain, and my takes obviously aren't from reddit or twitter, have you ever seen what redditor are like, they certanly are the manchildren I talk about, but in any case, criticising something as immature and childish is a coherent criticism, and, yes Manchildren are a real category of people, it's the shy arrogant and immature petit bourgeois who are able to refuse to live on the real world, it's the marvel fans, the dinsey fans, the star wars fans, the harry potter fans, and the YA book readers, real, actual adults don't read this shit.

>>719923
You're confusing literature as an artform with literature as entertainment. The average YA novel doesn't hold up as the former, but neither do the spy/action/crime thrillers most boomer adults are reading. At most there might be some neat ideas in there worth talking about, seeing popular literature as inherently deficient because of this is faux-adultist immaturity though. For example most Shakespeare plays were written for popular theatre, nothing in their literary ambition differentiates them from something like Hunger Games. The only thing noteworthing about them is their language, some powerful themes and their sheer cultural endurance.

>>719925
Shakespeare founded the basis of modern theater and by extension cinema, its writing is much better then any YA book currently going out, I don't think popular litterature is inherently deficient, but what gets published nowadays is, mostly because the idea isn't to write a story anymore, but to sell something to the most ammount of people, there is no artistic merit to it, and any adult reading it should be able to recognize that, and should try to seek better books, it's the same thing for movies.

File: 1761376450820.png (775.69 KB, 999x655, ClipboardImage.png)

>>719927
>founded the basis of modern theater
influential =/= good
>should try to seek better books
uygha, i'm not reading finnegan's wake on my day off

>>719929
They're objectively well written and impactfull, hence why we are still talking about them to this day
Ok then don't read it ? But don't be shocked when people find you immature for reading Hunger Games…

REJECT boring literary fiction.

EMBRACE genre fiction that you actually find enjoyable to read.

>>719869
my fav part of the book is the israeli civil war

>>719925
A point to be made about this is that I'd always thought of novels like Dracula and Carmilla as literature, especially because movies like Nosferatu (1922) are so popular with the arthouse crowd. Then I read it and it's the pulpiest shit ever, almost feels like shonen and shoujo manga. Same for the movies: Nosferatu doesn't take itself very seriously at all for most of its runtime. It's so bizarre. I fuck with it though.

>>720033
not exactly

its female POV with some verbal erotica or any erotica at all because puritanism is back, but also any book where the masculine manly hot man is written same way men writers write hot women

>>719923
>have you ever seen what redditor are like,
Only through screenshots, it seems like a standard issue 4chan clone: a handful of ivermectinites egged on by a swarm of bots.
>my takes aren't from twitter or reddit
The reason I assume you got these assumptions from twitter is because they were boilerplate stances people used to have back when i used to use twitter.
>criticizing something as immature and childish is a coherent criticism
It's abstract nonsense that teens make up to separate themselves from the indignity they've associated with their own childhoods due to the way the adults treated them growing up. No, throwing away your toys and school year books doesn't make you an adult. Adulthood and maturity are not consumer identities you wear as a hat.
>it's the marvel fans, the dinsey fans, the star wars fans, the harry potter fans,
Actual fanatics of these are not abundant enough to be statistically significant, despite what marketing campaigns would lead you to believe. The reason these properties do well is because television users are anti-intellectual reactionaries and thus voluntarily larp as mindless cattle to convince themselves they're normal, because that's how they conceive "normal people" in their head. It's like a reverse solipsism. I don't know why they do that. My mom used to be an engineer and yet she does this, weirdly self aware about it.
<and the YA book readers
Content ratings aren't genres. A book doesn't magically become an affirmation of your adulthood because the author sprinkled some sex scenes and swear words in it.

>>720043 (me)
Like my mom has watched every Marvel and Jon Wick movie, she hates them but watches them because she thinks it makes her normaller to have watched them.

Do any of you read female erotica? I occasionally delwe into josei manga, but would like to expand into literature, got any recommendations where to start?

Male goon writers writing their women be like:
>there was this woman. she had unforgettable boobs, she walked in swinging curves that would make every 50s detective gaze and lose their mind, and a butt that would make any toilet beg for her beauty, her face was..uhh….it was cute
The end, that's it, the story's about me and this hot girl let's get to work

female goon writers writing their men be like:

>his face was sculpted by michael angelo off the grave, his cheeck bones and chin, were soo moving, you could stare at them for days, and his full hair decended like golden wheat bundles on his wide shoulders, this 6 feet seven inches blue eyed beast of a minotaur man looked at me with his crystal blue beacons He Vampired Billionairely across the Mafia boardroom to talk to me with the stern domineering look of henry cavil

>'you slut, i should choke kill and violate you if i didn't love you so much' said Dumbledore the third, calmly in his yakuza voice.' i froze in my place, knowing well he can do that but he liked me so much, owned me, and you never destroy something valuable you own, i still remember the day i met this unnrevingly handsom 7ft stud boss, back then, He's was a rich 10 meters of meat large mafia boss who hated everyone else but me, he was also my childhood friend, and secretly vampire ninja, who had the abs of a manly man, his eyes were sharp, and focused and….*writer wets herself* ive never seen such tarazanic eyes, he was a multi billionaire buff polymath with "interesting" hobbies like dissecting victims while i was so average and forgettable that Vanilla came in 2nd place as average compared to me, i had the personality of flourbags, but for some reason, of all women he killed and sucked the blood of, he didn't do it to me, he stopped as he chocked me, and we became lovers ever since, He’s dominant but also lets me do whatever i wanted in the relationship. He’s masculine, THE man, but also cried at The Notebook. that day after he let me go, not killing me, he came to my house in his lamborghini Supra GT500 car and helicoptered 10 meters off of it in his jetpack, asking me to be his gf, and i accepted, for he seemed honest, and honesty is nice, it wasn't the money, i had standarts"

>>719809
Lmao, I had forgotten about it.
But yeah, HG is the peak among all of those.
But I have grown to prefer classics, HG is just conversation material.

Gooning in ye olden times meaned owning one Libro Vaquero or similar ones. Later the x magazines came and the goverment made gooning mandatory in an attempt to contain the youthful energy (it didn't work in the long run)

Seems like digitalized versions are not available.

>>723681
is that a fucking goon story about native americans taking a white girl with them from pioneer settler farm away to their sex camp?
hot sauce, hot provide the sauce

Every "is it spicy???" BookTok romantasy femgoon I know (and I seem to meet more and more of them every year now) also claims to be asexual and aromantic. It's always weird watching them swing back and forth between slightly unhinged levels of horniness and frigidity, usually in the same conversation.

The wimmenz aren't alright.

aint saying men didn't write in an objectfying manner by the way, but women can out-objectify hyper-masculine moids in their erotica to impressively grotesque degrees

File: 1762535994169.png (1013.77 KB, 716x1075, ClipboardImage.png)

has anyone actually read the recently memfied 50 shades of minotaur?

>>723678
>he vampired billionairely across the mafia boardroom
Ok, that got a laugh out of me

>>723753
thanks lol, had to imagine that part in particular before writing it down

>>723690
if you are a woman you say you are asexual, if you are a guy you just pretend dating apps (or women in general) don't actually exist. there isn't much place for romance once you have internalized the commodification of sex (porn) to such degree

File: 1762537868682-0.png (318.61 KB, 885x818, ClipboardImage.png)

File: 1762537868682-1.png (864.04 KB, 1024x1024, ClipboardImage.png)

so if you think about it, a flipped 50 shades of grey becomes about an average boring ass journalist stepping in for his brother to interview a hot older business tycoon woman, who for some odd reason gets really attached into him, as he does to her a lot, but he's an inexperienced virgin and she's a sadist who loves bondage chocking handcuffs and dominating men, especially him as her toy, she manipulates him with perfumed talk and practically OWN him body and soul, and takes him everywhere, her jet, car, palace, and plays with him immensly from her sex dungeon to pegging him in her office to taking him on vacations and the whole time our now anally deflowered and violated journalist has to contemplate the joy of being owned by such a femme while wishing for more control and less abuse……..yeah i might have to apologize to any aunt i mocked for being into abuse or stalking by a richer man because…this shit ain't half bad, a billionaire woman turing you into a boytoy sound hot

>>723760
no it doesn't, as a matter of fact, it is a good point about why it is a symptom of internalized misogyny. if a male friend told me this I would tell him to go to therapy or something because this shit isn't normal. the same should apply to women, but then we would have to address the conditions that led to these "fetishes" and that might radicalize people

>>723762
>no it doesn't
hmm maybe its the reversed power dynamic to me that hits the spot because women who actually enjoy dominating are rare as hell to me, i agree about the therapy part though
