nice trips, and honestly i think that's somewhat likely unless op somehow gets into the armed wing of the communist party of burma specifically, as communists are obviously more likely to welcome international assistance (unless they have an extremely dire reputation/morale and their present material conditions are abysmal, then you'd have a khmer rouge in the late 90's situation with kidnapping random tourists for ransom despite being gomunist)
hopefully someone more familiar with the present situation in myanmar can confirm. from what i've seen the communist party of burma re-armed themselves after the coup and is fighting with the PDF, as maoist guerillas (people's liberation army)
