Conventional advice includes intermittent fasting, consistent exercise, vegetable intake, and daily nuts. Could we eventually self-administer advanced therapies, like those involving immunosuppressants? If feasible, what is the associated complexity?

I want a lifespan of 200 years or more, are there compelling studies demonstrating effective methods for significant life extension?

>daily nuts

Just wait until proletarian Chinese scientifist discover a cheap method and their AES dark factories start producing it at a fraction of a cent

why would you want to enhance longevity on this bitch of an earth? among this humanity
live fast die young. smoke crystal fucking weed all day every day

>200 years
no,it is ridiculous to expect a jump that high,to even guarantee to live until at least 110 for the majority of people we would need to somehow make it so 70% of the population can at least live 70,and we can't do that

bumping to remind myself to post
>like those involving immunosuppressants
immunomodulators*, also many species of mushrooms, also some forms of cold compression immersion like in a hyperbaric chamber

<The 117-year-old woman, Maria Branyas Morera, ate yogurt daily as part of a healthy lifestyle that also included fish, olive oil, and a lack of smoking and drinking.

<Researchers studied her to understand her longevity, finding that her daily yogurt consumption likely helped support a healthy gut microbiome and reduce chronic inflammation, a key factor in aging. Scientists noted that genetics and overall lifestyle were also crucial factors, emphasizing that it wasn't a single "silver bullet".

>Daily yogurt consumption: Branyas reportedly ate three yogurts per day, which likely provided probiotics that supported her gut health.

>Anti-inflammatory effects: Yogurt consumption, particularly when part of a healthy diet, is linked to lower levels of chronic inflammation, a major contributor to aging and disease.

>Part of a larger lifestyle: Her longevity was not due to yogurt alone. She also had a Mediterranean-style diet rich in fish and olive oil, and she was a non-smoker and never drank alcohol.

>Genetic factors: The study of her biology revealed that she had a "protective and resilient" genome that played a significant role in warding off age-related diseases.

>Healthy gut microbiome: Her gut microbiome was remarkably similar to that of a much younger individual, likely supported by her diet and other lifestyle choices.

This dude compiles all longevity studies, he is very popular among vegans because studies seem to suggest plant based diet is best in that regard.

Sign up for cryonics and get cryopreserved when you legally "die". There's a chance you will get to be reanimated in the future when technology is more advanced.

A calculator for calculating the odds of cryonics working:

nta but living for only another ~200 years is what makes me not care about dying. It's such a ridiculously minuscule amount of time, of all the things a human can do and learn and see and so on I'm only going to be able to experience like 0.000001% of it. Even something simple like wanting to watch every movie that exists is impossible because you'd die before you got anywhere near the end. For whatever reason some people think that's how it should be, I have no idea why. If the human lifespan was 1000s of years then I'd probably care about dying much more

Lol the default dataset says there's a 63% chance of a 50 year old who signs up for cryonics eventually being revived. Actual clown shit, we have zero evidence of it actually working. Even if you were revived it probably wouldn't be the same consciousness anyways.

I think people cope with how short life is, they can't change it so they choose to pretend it's actually a good thing

If you disagree with the parameters, just adjust them in the calculator.

>Actual clown shit, we have zero evidence of it actually working.

There's even less evidence of burial or cremation working. If you think it's a good thing to be alive instead of dead, a small chance of being reanimated seems better than no chance at all. And what's the downside? It's not like you can take your money with you when you die.

>Even if you were revived it probably wouldn't be the same consciousness anyways.

You could say the same thing about your current consciousness from moment to moment. You might not be the "same" consciousness you were a second ago, if the concept is even coherent. The Buddhists say the self is an illusion.
