Who was the “National founder” or “Father of the nation” of your country and what do you think of them?
Me personally I live in the United States and the national founder of my country is George Washington. I find it strange how we criticize cults of personality of people like Mao Zedong when the name and face of George Washington is spread everywhere in America. This motherfucker has a State named after him and the capital is named after him, and countless streets, schools, and hospitals are named after him and there are statues of him everywhere. I also remember in kindergarten being taught to sing songs about how great he was, also on the roof of the capitol building there is a fucking fresco painting of him ascending into heaven alive! But was he any good? In my opinion he was a pretty bad person who kinda sucked. I mean he fucking owned slaves and massacred native Americans. But at the same time I think there were some positives that he made, for example he killed a lot of British people which is cool although I would not say he was entirely an anti-imperialist since he expanded into Native American land. And as a Yinzer I will never forgive him for suppressing the Whisky Rebellion. But I still think he was in the right when it comes to the American Revolution however the founding fathers experiment of Liberal Democracy has lasted for 250 years and it doesn’t work so I say it should end.
