I’m not really a fan of “Edgy humor” because it is really easy to do and we live in the “Woke is dead” era so it’s not edgy anymore anyways but even though I’m not a fan of edgy humor there is an exception. The exception is if there is a significant amount of effort put into it like this video for example. Like it probably took some 4 days to make that video of a bowling ball nuking Hiroshima. But nowadays AI can generate this in 30 minutes and now that edgy humor is so easy to spread it’s everywhere and it’s no longer funny because of how low effort it is.
Once I became aware of the concept of Safe Edgy–or shit that's put on a pedistal of edginess but doesn't actually challenge existing power structures, just punching down–I found finding things that are funny easier since I don't bother with things that key jingle pavlovian shit like this.
Edgy humor was never funny, whats so special about breakroom jokes about 9/11-Hiroshima-Arabgoatdronestrike-ledrugabuse but forcing it into every piece of media for everybody to see? Wasting alot of your time to do that makes it worse not better, edgelord slop shit is made for AI slop.
