That’s not true. Give credit where credit is due! Although the USSR made the largest contributions America’s constitutions were significant in the defeat of fascism. Obviously America became the world’s worst country as soon as the war ended and the Truman doctrine was signed but still. I have no idea how you can say that American WW2 vets “fought to stop socialism” when they fought the country that was invading the USSR.

that tbh has to do with the fact even if soldiers had the geniune belief they were fighting to stop the tyranny of facsism, the people leading them either went "we fought the wrong enemy" or straight up gave some powerful nazis refuge post-ww2 in pure pragmatism, all to secure more capital or leverage against socialists
