I mean they always have been but there used to be many people on the left who were Christians and their faith influenced them into doing what was right, examples would be people like MLK or John Brown. Nowadays pretty much all Christians in America are Rightoids who worship Trump, huff gasoline, beat their wives, and fuck their cousins. I’m not a Christian and I never read the Bible but I know that it probably speaks more illy of the Rich than it does of Trans people and Mexicans. I feel like this probably has something to do with declining church attendance, because the smaller the group gets the more radical and louder it becomes.

lets look at someone like richard dawkin. in the 2000s he was sayin he was a atheist and christianity and religion in general was poison. now he is calling himself a cultural christian. that christianity its values, rituals, and culture like church bells are important for identity.
many of these people are adopting this christian identity to oppose something: 'globalism', 'woke', 'the muslim conspiracy'.
but i also think that this isn't organic and has been manufactured.

To me it seems like all the leftist elements have left the church already. In USA this could be different as so many believe in God there.

Unironically, evolution.
It used to be somewhat reasonable to be religious as an intelligent knowledgeable person, because there was a lot about the world we did not understand. There was a huge "gap" for God to exist in. Science could be seen as an extension of God's creation.
When evolution was discovered, rigorously tested, and finally established as a foundation of biology, the world could finally be explained as a series of natural/physical phenomena. Life was not the result of a divine inventor, but rather a complex systemic process that happened over billions of years. God and the supernatural became wholly unnecessary.
So then we saw a shift in the scientific community and intelligentsia from religion to atheism. Thus the ones who remained religious began to reject science, academia, and knowledge itself. Capitalists further exploited this and transformed Christians into a voting bloc that could be manipulated into supporting the interests of capital.

death of god. less and less self-proclaimed christians are in out of 100% pure belief, leaving a greater proportion of them in it for self-interest, as a tool for conservative politics, and so on.

I wanna contradict you, but half the lefties (to use a vague umbrella term) I know are christian. It's fuckin weird, but I do think in general the bible seems to line up with general collectivist views than individualism which makes evangelical fascism basically reverse christianity

Literally nothing wrong with either of these things. Moralism is cringe as hell and Marxists should have nothing to do with it.

On top of that, most reasonable Christians/religious folk renegotiated the passages of scripture that contradict evolution; the problem is that liberal and literary interpretations of scripture have a more individual effect rather than a societal effect.

Liberal Christianity is self-selecting, it's doomed to die out because it doesn't lead to new converts. They aren't indoctrinating their kids so with each generation they become less religious and then finally non-religious.
Whereas religious fundamentalism perpetuates itself through rigorous childhood indoctrination and societal pressure. Obviously some kids will still reject it but a lot of them won't.

Because 99.99% of people are right wing that enjoy living in a right wing hellscape and so they recycled the religion to suit their own viewpoint
