I mentioned schnitzel to a couple people in the US. They seemed to think I was talking about strudel.

Thought I would report this as a possible Mandela effect. Was wondering if anybody has vivid memories of having schnitzel as a kid.

Yes, I had schnitzel quite often as a kid. We did not call it schnitzel at home, though. We used to call it breaded steak or something like that. I never confused it with strudel, though.
