I wish they could just dedicate more of their time to it, have more frequent episodes and stuff, make it like a simpsons kind of thing. Everything else on adult swim is trash, I just want more smiling friends, I'd really appreciate if they just cut off the other projects and focused more on smiling friends.
I've never watched and probably never will. I think I'd like but I have very little interest to actually watch any show at this point. It seems like a lot of people here hate it though.

i thought season 3 was meh, for a lol so randumb show it's surprising how much it re-iterates gags. you can only drop so many out-of-place rotoscoped scenes before it loses its novelty. it also seems to appeal to the most annoying group of people possible, nothing good will come of sneaking in chris chan jokes, in that way it WILL become the next rickingmorting
I watched season one and decided that only a meager handful of episodes were actually funny. Zach is a dime a dozen /pol/tard with pretty good quips.

I haven't kept up with him since HS but I got a sense that his zoomer fanbase grew up with him as Filthy Frank. He was kind of unavoidable if you were in middle or high school during the mid 2010s and a lot of people in that age group will tell you how they aged out of their edgy humor phase which usually included him

Two of their most important lineups, the one that made the OneyPlays channel famous, and the one that they have currently, are 2/3rds LGBT with one of said two thirds being a porn artist, and multiple of the non-LGBT ones have worked with Vivziepop multiple times. These are not things that outright right-wing people would generally do or condone.
I think what throws people is that a lot of their humor is very abrasive and, for lack of a better word, mean. It's very much an artifact of their backgrounds as Newgrounds people. Back in its prime, Newgrounds humor was very mean and judgemental in this kind of ironically detached way. This was partially because Newgrounds was used primarily by teenage boys, who are just kind of like that, and partially because that was generally the zeitgeist at the time. It's kind of hard to explain if you weren't there, but it was a period where people thought Maddox was the peak of comedy.
For whatever reason, the OneyPlays guys have kept this humor up longer than anyone else. In a world where that kind of thing isn't the norm anymore, I can easily see it being confused for the kind of thing a guy like Sam Hyde does. But it's really something very different. They're not trying to be satirists, they're trying to be assholes.
