One where the creators' idealism is the warping effect. The rules are essentialist in most fiction, or at least a whole lot of it. I do think there are ways to treat magic or extraordinary technology that let you keep a conception of material reality but i don't have any examples of the top of my head. Lord of the rings ain't one though
