As far as Bannon goes, I personally think you don't have to go out of your way to socialize with awful people who have done everything in their power to make the country worse, and are (on paper) entirely opposed to everything you stand for. It's not like they're family or childhood friends. They're both just part of "the club".

Chomsky is a lesser-evil electoralist who frequently supports the genocidal ultracapitalist Democratic Party, legitimized myths about big bad spooky Marxists to the wider US left and if one of his political legacies is making anti-imperialism more tenable, another is helping draw an enduring line between acceptable anti-authoritarian leftism and supposedly cuckoo tyrannical far-leftism.
Mind you that unlike a lot of weirdos here I don't think anyone has a moral obligation to be a radical or that not being one automatically disqualifies you as a valuable voice, but Chomsky went way beyond that by using his reach to justify and legitimize American neoliberal ideas. I refuse to treat him as an actual radical just because he calls himself one.

No he wasn't. He never even went to college. He was reportedly such a math wiz that's why they hired him at one of the most prestigous prep schools in the country with no degree. I find it highly implossible abd nobody has ever talked exstensively about his math skills or provided any proof of it. That one scientist who went to one of his parties described him as being as retarded about science as you would expect from his emails and everything. I guess we will never get one of his buddies who actually liked him to explain why exactly.
