If you believe that porn rots the brain you should also believe that promiscous sex or even just having sex with too much is bad for you. When ppl said that porn is harmful they dont mean the porn itself but the dopamine caused by masturbation which also happens when you have sex without all the tiresome courtship

i sometimes wonder if people who say “porn is le bad and exploitative” even care about the exploitation and commodification happening in the porn industry

i came across some porn that appeared to be straight up rape or CP but for some reason the online “left” are too busy focusing on gooners than the actual illicit content themselves. modern day online “leftism” to me literally feels like a bunch of cowards to just parade around themselves as a leftist ideology because it’s “cool” and “quirky”

There are actual government agencies for that, they dont need moral support from bunch of posters.

most people who are anti porn in my experience also demonizes anyone who watches porn, draw weird fetishistic stuff, engages in kink, radfems or terfs, and is just overall bigoted and infantilizing. but doesn’t say the same stuff about gore or murder because somehow violence is more normalized in sex in society

The dopamine release you get from porn is the same dopamine release you get from any simple, pleasurable activity. You can just as easily get "addicted" to porn as you can WoW, and yet you don't see people (or at least, anywhere near as many people) calling for it to be banned. Why is porn treated differently?
