That reminded me of a theory of the British royal family. it was their germanic descent that produced heirs that were dumb, boorish, incompetent imbeciles (like andrew Mountbatten) while the Anglo heritage produced ones that were cheap and money obsessed. Prince Philip always used to complain to friends about how he had no money and shake down aristocrats for 'donations', so he could go buy some new toys. even the beloved queen elizabeth cancelled the staff Christmas party because it was 'too expensive' despite profiting millions.
