I do wonder about this. Anarchists envision a libertarian society of individuals, but as you mention when most people are connected on an individual basis an individual slight can destroy the whole group because everyone is friends with everyone else, it creates this incentive to take a side to prove your loyalty to your mate rather than deescalating the situation.
I think an anarchist solution would be to mimic bonobos, who have an orgy everytime a fight happened to deescalate tension and reconcile the conflicting individuals. Of course i can see some sleazy person abusing this, by picking fights whenever they are horny to get in the post-fight reconciliation orgy
