Yeah I know that this is idpol but the reason why I care is because I actually have one that I bought when I was a Lumpen teenager from a novelty store because I thought it was just a cool “Safari hat” and it was only years later that I found out that some people are offended by these because of they see them as a symbol of the Rape of Africa. I thought about dying it green and gluing a red star to it so it looks less imperialistic because I don’t want to destroy it but I thought I should ask what asking about what the general consensus is first because I don’t know what people actually think because I couldn’t find any reliable sources.
