The professor used plato as an argument against the gender binary, which is pretty normal for a philosophy course.
Invoke plato to argue whatever issue is relevant.
I'm not sure why they would ban plato when his philosophy is very much not woke.
Obviously, it's a 101 course, so what's stopping professors from doing the same with Aristotle? Fuck it, bring in Evola and do it.

It's because plato criticized sophism, which even being aware of would shatter a rightoid's ideology instantly because they would realize most of it is blatant sophism and not actual reason.
