It just became more evident as the years have gone by. Conservative or liberal, American culture is the same. Ostensibly people in red states seem to be more open and kind but I have found this to be very untrue the more you get to know them. Conservative people hide behind what I call a "fake nice" facade that fools many people - generally people from the West Coast are easily fooled by this artifice. People from the East Coast however like Philadelphia, New York, and Boston can easily see through their nice guy act.
Likewise people in liberal states are just as toxic as I have mentioned above, however they just seem to be more cavalier about their fake, soulless nature. Therefore one must not be swayed by either side as they will find themselves trapped in an unrelenting quagmire unable to see and or recognize the only viable method of escape.
This option is to obviously leave America, but just like Winston mentions, hardly anyone talks about it, and if you do talk about it Americans turn on you like a pack of rabid animals. "How dare you speak ill of America" followed by profane language and perhaps even violence, is generally the attitude one receives if they mention they will be leaving America to live in a more hospitable country.

Conservatives will say outright, "KYS transhumanist," while liberals will drive you into an argument with their nonsense and then ban you under the pretext of "protecting against reactionism" or something like that.
