We live in an interconnected world where no completed revolution anywhere of any stripe will go from start to end without foreign influence. How vital that influence is will vary case-by-case. It is not useful to think about politics through memes.

Do they think people cannot have any legitimate complaints against their governments if they're foreign policy is anti-west as if the average person there whos just trying yo survive gives a single fuck about that instead of his more immediate needs which the government is unable to provide?

Some people struggle to process actual world, so they flatten it into black and white camps. There are no complexities, ambiguities or individuals, only ingroup (good) and outgroup (bad).
