I don't live in West Virginia (or 'Kanawha' as it should be called) but I am from Western PA so I am very familiar with it and it is literally the embodiment of everything wrong with Amerikkka. Now nothing wrong with West Virginia is because of the land, the land is beautiful and has breathtaking views of its gorgeous mountainous landscapes, nor is it because of its culture, I really like it's cryptids and music, nor is it because of its history, everywhere else in America did the same shit with slavery and genocide so West Virginia is no worse, also West Virginia has some of the coolest moments in American history like John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry and the Battle of Blair Mountain. So everything wrong with West Virginia has to do with politics, the people of West Virginia are stuck in an abusive relationship with conservatism, much like most modern slavic countries West Virginian is full of old, white, racist people who are poor as fuck and addicted to drugs. Literally West Virginia has the second highest Trump approval rating at 68% after everything, the only reason why West Virginioids voted for Trump was because he said that he would remove environmental regulations, that might sound bad and it is but it sounded good to West Virgins because they thought that would bring the coal industry back and the state would have a big economic boom again and they could return to the good old days, but Trump didn't bring the coal industry back, instead the environmental deregulation just enabled AI data centers to pop up everywhere and McMansions and parking lots to be built over green-space… AND THEY STILL SUPPORT HIM!!! But everything I described in West Virginia could be an exaggerated description of the entire country which is why I said that it's the embodiment of everything wrong with America.
