The 2000s may just be one of the most overrated decades in history next to the 50s and 80s
Looking back, it fucking sucked. The clothes sucked, the music sucked, and 2000s comedies are pure shit with few exceptions

Overrated by who? 00s nostalgia is usually towards very specific things instead of the decade as a whole. Even then, it's faker and more idealized than 80s nostalgia. I had a good childhood but even I can recognize that the culture was mostly dogshit.

Everyone recognized the 2000's sucked before it was even over, everyone complained about it, didn't know what set it apart from other decades(this is stupid because you only really know once the decade is long over)
Even as a kid I noticed cartoons started to suck after the financial crash, or maybe I was growing up and just couldn't accept it. I wasn't tapped into the celebrity culture at all as a kid but it all already looked fake and cheap.
People are just nostalgic if they were adult millennials at clubs or some shit, or if they're zoomers who weren't born yet and don't know that scene culture was extremely niche and universally despised
And the internet culture. People are genuinely nostalgic or fascinated about the 00's internet, I was already interested in by the time I was a teenager in the 2010's and looking at old Shii blogs.
