Is it too late for me to read Deleuze if I am over 30? I have been meaning to read him but I am not very smart and with age I am not exactly becoming any smarter.

its paper with words printed on it
anyone can read it

>I have been meaning to read him but I am not very smart and with age I am not exactly becoming any smarter.
You're not developing dimensia at 30, but if you approach life with that mindset you'll develop it sooner than necessary.

Your brain is a use it or lose it thing. It is because you are 30 and need mental challenges that you should read Deleuze, and any other book you've been intimidated by.

He is a french anti-communist post-modernist, why would you read it?

How did you find that out without reading it or something by someone that has? You have to know what something's internal logic is to make an immanent critique of it.

yes, deleuze is for the young. stick to derrida, you geezer!

>>753569
But how many will understand it?

>>753572
general knowledge
But why would you waste your time criticizing Deleuze? He does word soup does not even have political relevance
It just seems like a waste of time to me

There was some author who said that either about Deleuze or Nick Land, I'm pretty sure it was Nick Land but it was something along the lines of children and teens being able to understand Deleuze/Land easier than grown ups.
I feel like that's true becacuse I grew up with Deleuze and gradually abandoned him, especially after learning about him being involved with the french age of constent petition where people think it was just because he was defending gay rights cause straight people had a lower age of constent than gay people or something, but the more I looked at Deleuze and the more I listened to him speak the more he seemed like a creep.

I still find Deleuze's analysis of linguistics somewhat useful, but he's largely irrelevant to me now, the same with Guattari.

Anyway OP you're old now, pick up a big boy book like Moby Dick or Infinite Jest or Tolstoy's War and Peace. You gotta keep in mind that its like a super meta back to normal reads return where you ignore the tiktok whores and fags who claim to have read those books because you yourself will know just by looking at their normie faces that they have never read anything beyond a description of the contents, because normies can't read that stuff, normies can barely read CIA documents which is like the top normie job of all time for the false intelligence plagued by false consciousness normie.
