I havent read Lacan, bu there is a lot more to Freud than Oedipal complex, and didnt Jung mostly ignore its existance as well? Not that I think Jung is a particularly venerable figure, he is mostly the one responsible for reputation of psychoanalysis as a mysthical woo-woo.

Psychoanalysis at least tries to make you believe that it is a science. Deep down, we are animals and we have passions and sometimes act irrationally, which is why it sounds credible. Jung, however, was a complete idealist, no different at all from the new age spiritual esoteric bs

A periodic reminder: socialism is a classless, moneyless, stateless society that eliminates poverty by transcending economics which is administrative management of scarcity. Poverty is the systemic exclusion from essential goods based on an individual’s inability to pay.

Marx was critiquing political economy, not trying to make a new economics, which isn't even some natural science. It's just about keeping capitalism running stabilizing prices, securing profits, bailing out capital during crises. In the end it's nothing more than a philosophy.

Poli-sci isn't a science either, and while we're on the same topic economics is basically just poli-sci and humanities BS mixed together.
