its like at my last job at a small business was run shit by two petty bourgious tyrants. you cant unionise because you cant get people behind you in a place that so everyone just gives up, or quits their job. there's no mass organisation you can really go to to get help.
during the 30s at least you could go to a communist party. they would have hard men who could beat up the owner if they didn't pay wages or threaten scummy landlords.
