You feel intensely and immediately. You don't entirely know what you're feeling or why, fight or flight. The thing is bad people don't need to believe in love or justice or reason. We do. We're the ones hurting not them. I'm not going to sit here and tell you every bad person is just some misunderstood tragedy of bad upbringing or mental illness. Some people, a lot of people in fact, are just pieces of shit. The thing about it is, we don't live in a vacuum. For the most part you physically cannot hurt all the people who need to hurt or should hurt. Even if you could, would they? Would they understand? You assume punishment works based on they're ability to fathom empathy, or maybe you really do just want them to feel agony and fear. They probably do. If they're surrounding themselves with it enough to do bad crimes, they probably aren't living their best life.
Justice can only exist between individuals autonomously defending themselves or being compensated in some sense. Laws do not physically have the capacity to save anyone or remotely reshape people or circumstances to the degree you seek.
When bad people do bad things, you incentivize them to do so less or in secrecy by paying gibs me dats. Reparations white boy.
OR…you can just do positive things. I know that doesn't subside your anger. But you could pull out weeds for the rest of your life and there will still be weeds. You reduce weeds by tending to the garden with flowers and trees. Tobacco preferably.
You do what you can. Getting upset don't do you any good, it isn't giving anyone hurt anything in return, and it isn't even hurting bad people as where are they? What bad people and you're still left with someone just like you wondering why you killled and tortured bad man A vs bad man B.
