Is anyone else completely sick of how rightoid the internet is? I get sick of being pummeled by far right thinking point thought and perspectives on Xitter all the time. It was good and sending me leftist accounts and feeds pretty regularly, but then it always goes back to rightoid grift. I'm just pummeled by it now stop there. They say that there's still liberals on X, but it doesn't seem like there are that many left.
Also, 4chan is really annoying. I get so sick of hearing about jewish conspiracy theories, racism, sexism and homophobia and whatever bullshit they try to peddle. They are trying to make it so that you have to be right wing just to talk to anybody online.
it turns out that if you passively treat privately-owned websites as public utilities they will eventually slide to fascism along with the rest of capitalism

It feels weird to talk to actual leftists, almost like it's surreal, I'm so used to conservacucks and rightoids at this point it's hard to believe it's gotten this far for me. I tried going to Leftist Reddit out of frustration, but they get offended by practically everything and are snobs.
I've thought similar things, that we live now in a "post-truth" world, which has been really dismaying for me if I were to be honest. It does seem like people are really angry these days, but it's similar to the situation involving the Nazis more then anything. They were likewise, really angry and all that frustration, got re-directed and channeled at minorities and imperialist grandiose plots.
What I don't understand is how the people just keep falling for it, because it seems really obvious what is going on, especially in the age of information we live in, where it's easier to be informed. But it seems like maybe less intelligent people are less open to ideas that challenge their perception or world view and choose instead the most convenient and comfortable options to stay ignorant. It's just so ugly and brutish.

Bros, I was just using 4chan again, that shit is seriously soul destroying. It's the same right-wing talking points, over and over again. 4chan can be really repetitive. I don't know if they're paid by somebody or if they're cia shills but the same topics get posted over and over again, even low level, stupid simple posts repeat. Like there's this stupid supposedly Brazilian poster who makes the same threads over and over again about how he wishes he was "white" and how distraught it makes him.
Sometimes I troll them, like I make threads pretending to be a British guy who is angry at everyone, especially America because I want them to pay reparations to the UK for stealing their land.
But they mostly ignore everything I say or do. They don't like me there very much for some reason, they almost have like an elaborate filter to weed people out who don't think exactly like them. But it's all very reminiscent of far right not sense which just reminds me why I hate this SOBs.
Also, everyone just telling me to avoid these websites, I don't think they are paying attention to the broader concern that most of the internet has been taken over by conservative neo-nazis, and there's very little places for actual leftists. Except maybe Tik Tok, but I think that site is fucking lame.

Every single time, that account would see outrage content, disinformation, misinformation, porn, hate content, and shock content regardless. It took me some time, but I realized what was going on.
Global algorithms are dictating the “core five” more than user inputs. It’s not your fault if you’re bombarded with hate content. The companies responsible for those apps are owned by some of the wealthiest grifters in the planet that are known sponsors of reactionary pro corporate sentiments. "conservative" because for a long time, it seemed like it was all the result of neo-liberalism. You had this kind of mixture of liberal and right-wing leanings, and ideas or sentiments. That is what made up neo-liberalism. But now it seems like it's all gone to teh right or something. I'm too tired to go into detail right now about what it all is though.But like having this elaborate filter to weed out anyone they don't like or who doesn't fit their standards or criteria. Being really anal and uptight. Half the time, they'll just talk about food and shit, that is one socially acceptable topic. Anything that is deemed too "idealistic" or "liberal" is not acceptable, like certain topics, like philosophy, art, and culture or the humanities in general. Liberal subjects I guess.
It was only a matter of time before it just became more streamlined and right-wing I suppose. They're also really classist and all that shit. But it's just like, ugh.
