You interact with reality out of necessity, you learn how things work, your brain develops structures to map onto reality so you can navigate it more effectively. That's intelligence.
Burgers never have to do that because their existence is subsidized by imperialism. Their real lives are like video games: arbitrary "rules" disconnected from the hard constraints of the real world. They think in cartoon logic since that's 90% of their input.
In that, they're a mirror image of their capitalist masters.
