I hate /pol/ so I never use it. I was there during the election and it was just sad. The most ignorant and hateful edgy little virgins for Trump. Thing is, the whole site has become /pol/ basically. Most communities hate me because I get aggravated by the constant "Jews" shit. It's nonstop. So I call them crazy and then they call me Jewish and post their stupid 'gigachad' and 'soyface' bullshit. I hate to be one of those "I just want to go back in time" people. But I do. I miss the old world. I miss several distinct worlds that have happened in my lifetime. Including the one with no internet at all. When I first discovered BBS I never thought it would end up like we are now; that everyone and their stupid aunt and uncle would be online 24/7 and it would rival the real world.

I need to unplug and move to a shack in Alaska with a lifetime supply of weed and all of my books that I haven't read. Perhaps allow myself my movie collection and a landline phone. But no broadcasts I don't tune in to the old ways and no internet. I wonder what it'd cost to set myself up like that. I will be inheriting a couple hundred thousand I think. I don't need much. I moved because of a job and my IP range is completely blocked on 4chan.

I have no doubt someone is watching from time to time and that there are key phrases that some software must search for to isolate some kind of potentially dangerous communication. My anti-capitalist posts are usually met with stupid comebacks like "jew", "ywnbaw", "libtard", and the like. There's certainly anti-intellectual sentiment there. They hate long posts. Shame me for it even. A lot of "I'm not reading all that" or "didn't read". They can't let it go unanswered, yet they claim they didn't even read it. Childish games.
It boils down to negative responses and getting ignored when it comes to lengthy posts. But a lot of that is just young idiots with no attention span.
I could do without the religious conservatism posing too. Those people are the opposite of what the imageboard culture is supposed to be about. They tell you to 'go back to reddit' and then work to undermine the whole point of a free speech forum by reporting and censoring. And they ARE biased. They make political threads in boards where they don't belong as bait, and when I or another lefty shits on MAGA or anything racist or stupid, we get banned for off-topic posting while the instigators stay and laugh about it. They're doing exactly what they hate moderated sites for doing. I guess out of vindictive revenge, as they almost certainly ended up on 4chan because they were removed from better communities. The most insulting part was that I was producing OC. It was a cook along thread. So they dissect the post and find some little technicality to get you on. Criticizing the moderation? Who even knew that was a bannable offense? That board really has it out for me. I rubbed them the wrong way about the anime. And I get it, that was a big part of the identity of 4chan 20 years ago. But they have like 6 boards JUST for that shit, and they put up sexualized pink little catgirl images all over every board like it's always relevant. It's gross. I don't go in their boards and harass them over it. I don't care what they like. But it's so off brand with their "conservative traditional Christian male" thing they're also juggling as part of their identity. Which of course the Christian part conflicts with their racism and hatred for gays and anyone different. They think they can simultaneously be this 'waifu pillow' katana weeb AND a faith-based MAGA nationalist who hates all women and yet feels entitled to an 18 year old white virgin who agrees Hitler "did nothing wrong".
I know it's mostly just horribly damaged manchildren and edgelord teens posting in bad faith, but it's all just so fucking disgusting. Always. All the time. They make it their personal mission to taint everything, quell any joy or positivity, spread their fucking misery.
And it was NOT always like that. It wasn't. That all started around 2016 and it's steadily gotten worse. Few like me even remain. But there are enough that back me up now and then that I forge ahead. I probably would anyway because I'm stubborn and I'm right. And it was mine first. I may be outnumbered and surrounded but I'm never outgunned. I just don't usually have the energy or interest in swatting them away like so many flies for the hours on end that they come. I'd rather focus on whatever the real topic is before they derail it with trolling.
I've never really spent much time on /v/ because I don't play a lot of games. But that board may move too fast for me. The times I've checked it out seemed that way. And I see a lot of disgruntled expats like you from there.

I'm actually posting with owo.vg right now and they're deleting me just as fast as I can post. And there's not even for cause. And I don't get to see the actual bans or reasoning because I'm not logged in. So my posts just disappear. They know when it's me. If not by the IP just by the style and wording and all my signature "tells". But really there's nothing they can do to officially connect me to my pass accounts, so it's rare even than I'm banned like I am. Without VPN I can't use the pass but they I guess have my MAC address. So with different phones I can still post. But owo is easier WHEN it works, and it's very hit and miss. Even with a gold pass.
I really need to break this habit of even giving a fuck. I can walk away on my own when I'm bored. But when they kick me out? Then I'm worse. But I'm staying out of my own threads.

One interesting thing I've learned is that they are more trusting towards iPhone users for some reason. I've been posting from my phones and the iphone makes me do just one of the captchas, an easy one. And the android makes me complete three.
And owo.vg is subjected to 5 or 6 pain in the ass captchas. And sometimes it solves them and sometimes I have to. Very inconsistent. But beggars can't be choosers when locked out.
