I doubt that the bourgeoisie believes their own lies about capitalism, but I wonder if it is a giant conspiracy where behind our backs they are all “Mwa ha ha they actually believe our lies” or if they are all just the Once-ler And they are trying to make excuses for themselves. Like there are times when it seems as if the elites shamelessly have admitted how immoral capitalism is in private like when in Epstein’s birthday book there is a drawing of Epstein gifting lollipops and balloons to young girls, alongside him receiving massages from topless women 20 years later with text that says “What a great country.” Or when Trump in his first term called soldiers who died in battle “Suckers and losers,” I mean he’s not wrong but he’s not saying it for the right reason, he was gloating.
