SA and 4chan and Reddit and Tumblr have all exported their cultures to Twitter and YouTube, and both passed this hotpot of culture down to Instagram. Everyone under 60 uses Twitter or Instagram or YouTube regularly. That's why the Oscar ceremony started with funny internet slang. Thay's why the news talk about incels and blackpill and pepe the frog. It's easier to not Pokemon Go To The Polls when this culture comes to you algorithmically. None of this was the case back in 2010.
