it’s all about image basically. it doesn’t matter who you are as long as you know how to win the social games. anybody who knows enough to expose you doesn’t care to participate which makes it a lot easier. most people operate on vibes when it comes to choosing sides, and they will always tend to side with people they have heard about compared to an unknown. there is no such thing as an “objectively bad” personality because whether you get along with someone and want to be friends with them is entirely predicated on your own life experiences and your identity. being “well-liked” is a social game, as opposed to being kind or treating people with respect.
